Working Kindle Paperwhite (1st Gen) (Mount Waverley)

PLEASE READ FULL POST 🙏

Hello all! 👋

On offer is a working KINDLE PAPERWHITE (first generation, 2012) in very good condition. 😁 Please note that it is FOR OFF-LINE USE ONLY. It comes with a CHARGING CABLE, and the battery still holds a couple of weeks charge. No major scratches, no faulty buttons. There is only a small amount of wear on the back of the Kindle as it was always kept in a protective case. 👍

⭐️Fully de-registered from the original account and reset to factory settings. Ready for a new owner. 😁🙌

Due to Amazon’s decision earlier this year, e-readers manufactured in 2012 and earlier are no longer supported by the Amazon cloud connectivity - despite so many of the older models still being fully functional otherwise. Fortunately, e-books can still be SIDE LOADED onto these older e-readers using the free app CALIBRE. All you need to do is download Calibre onto your computer, connect the Kindle to your computer using the same USB cable which is used for charging, and then transfer (and simultaneously convert file type if necessary) any e-books of your choosing. I have tested this process and it works PERFECTLY. 👍👌

*** PLEASE NOTE that in the absence of the ability to access the Amazon cloud, any e-books side loaded onto this Kindle cannot be categorised and filed into collections. They will simply live as INDIVIDUAL TITLES on the device. 😊

⭐️ Perhaps this Kindle could still come in handy for somebody who wants a backup model to use off-line whilst travelling or camping for example. ⛺️🌳

From a smoke free and pet free home. Contactless pick up in Mount Waverley, 3149. 😊
