Tens Machine (South Wootton PE30)

I was wondering if anybody has a tens machine they dont use at all? I have been told by a pain clinic specialist i should try one but I'm scared as i have a compressed nerve. I can't get a free trial to see if it would help and the pain clinic sell them for £30. Thanks in advance ☺️
