Designed to sit on a carpet to enable a chair on rollers to move easily and without damaging the carpet. The underside has dimples to grip the carpet. These dimples make it unsuited for hard floors and uncomfortable if not dangerous to walk on if turned upside down.
This is half of a much larger mat that is about two years old.
The larger mat developed cracks in the middle. I have cut to make this smaller mat, which only has some cracks on one side.
Given that I weigh 90kg, spend a lot of time on my office chair and direct sunlight reaches the floor, the off cut may well last longer than two years.
