Some 1980s hi-fi separates that need attention. Don't even think about taking them if you don't have a soldering iron and the time and skill to use it.
Sansui AU-G11X amplifier. This works - well the lights come on anyway, I have not tested the inputs and outputs. But the power on/off switch has disappeared, so it's now got an inline switch on the power lead. The actual button is still present, it just doesn't do anything. Really not a difficult fix if you can track down a new latching pushbutton switch.
Philips CD610/45B. This works too (display lights up, drawer goes in and out) but it also has a dodgy power button. At least in this case it's all there though, it just doesn't make electrical contact unless you hold it juuuust there. No, out a bit, there! Probably fixable with contact cleaner.
Sansui TU-D33XL. Nothing obviously wrong with this, the display lights up, buttons appear to work. Only good for AM/FM/LW as DAB wasn't invented when this was made.
Lovely stuff, expensive in its day, borderline worthless now unless you have a love for repair.
