Trinkets or picture hanger (Midtown Toronto)

I have this metal rod with clips attached all along the way. It is kinda like those things where there’s a rope and a bunch of clothes pins on it to hang pictures up, except this is metal. I include a picture of the ends, there is a metal hook at each end to hang it up. I have two of these. Anyone have a use for it?
