Hoover SteamVac (Dunbar)

My trusty Hoover SteamVac (F5906-950) has just failed, probably the motor. I hope to give it a new lease on life and keep it out of landfill.

Although little used, since this is over a decade old, parts are almost entirely discontinued. I am planning to tear it down to investigate. So, if you have a similar model that you have retired, maybe I can get it back into service.

Also, years ago, I loaned it to a neighbour who was moving out of an adjacent suite. Unfortunately, their movers movers packed all of the upholstery attachments. I never heard from them after the move – so compatible upholstery attachments would come in handy if I can resurrect the SteamVac.
