Ready to add beauty, shade, and long-term cooling to your yard? Join the University of California Master Gardeners and Yucaipa Valley Water District for a free shade tree giveaway on Saturday, November 14, 2026, at the Yucaipa Valley Regional Filtration Facility at Crystal Creek.

Eligible Yucaipa Valley Water District customers can receive a free drought-tolerant shade tree while supplies last. Most trees come in 5-gallon containers and fit in most cars and SUVs. A limited number of larger trees may be available in 15-gallon containers, which may require a truck or large SUV for transport.

Not sure which tree is right for your yard? UC Master Gardeners will be on-site to answer questions and provide planting and care tips to help your tree thrive. Pre-registration is encouraged and pick up is between 10:00am and 11:30am. Walkups are welcome after 11:30 until Noon while trees are available. Scan the QR to reserve your tree today!
