Big telescope! (Little Strickland CA10)

Orion XT8g GoTo Dobinsonian. The telescope itself is in as-new condition, everything is boxed (its hardly been out of the box!) and original and it has a range of eyepieces, sun and moon filters. The motorised base though is in less good condition and resists all attempts to bring it to life, due to poor storage, and I assume not easily fixed. I should declare I know nothing about telescopes and very little about electronics!
