I think I got this 25 years and it has been old faithful. It is a type of machine that sews the seam and overcasts the stitch at the same time. It has all the parts except for the small brush to clean out dust. The threading is a bit tricky but with all the videos online you will be okay. Included are 5 serger threads, 1 speciality thread and 1 wooly nylon. The specialty thread makes a nice overcast stitch and the wooly nylon is used for soft edges with a professional look. This machine is perfect for sewing knits as the top and bottom feed at the same rate preventing the seam from stretching - the bane of home sewers.
