Free: Antique Doll's Crib - family heirloom in need of TLC (seamstress) to give joy to new generation (Fiveways BN1) Inherited from late sister who had years of fun, the metal work is great, the fabric is old & tired & it needs someone with relevant skils (seamstressing) i just don't have. Too nice to bin so i lugged from Carlisle on the train. I just want it to go to a good home to give more children more happy hours (away form screens). I keep meaning to refurb but it is not my skillset & it is time to let go. Collection only.

Free: Pine double bed base (std double) 4'6" (Fiveways BN1) Gifted Perfectly serviceable pine double bed base, past its first flush of youth eith a couple of repairs. A LOT better than having no bed base at all. Total shame to burn or put in landfill. Available to collect from Fiveways. All hand portable or puttable into a car. (I am or was furniture maker happy to help with construction (if u run into problems).

Free: Educational toy: leverage - trebuchet (Fiveways BN1) Expired Developed years ago & it works! Loath to bin it when so much more fun can be had esp kids in summer hols! Trebuchet: medieval device for lobbing boiling oil & rocks at enemy castles. Principles of leverage hard wired into instincts long before formal teaching 8n Yr7 & Yr8 Maths & DT... decent history too. Quaker: apologises for military metaphor (but u dont have to tell 'em that!)

In fact, just checked, the keyhole protector was doing its job & protecting the internal locking mechanism. Oil applied. Lock unlocking & locking nicely....
