Community Fix-It Night in Northgate (Northgate)
Bring your broken household items for a night of fixing and community building at Northgate Community Center! Link: / Join Seattle REconomy for a night of repair and skill-building at Northgate Community Center! The NE Fixers program, supported by the Department of Neighborhoods’ Matching Fund, aims to share repair skills within local communities. During these free events, community volunteers will be on hand to offer their skills to help fix things like lamps, small appliances, clothing items, small furniture, and other items, as well as to sharpen and maintain tools such as garden shears and pruners. Anyone is welcome to attend these repair events! There will be repairs, tool sharpening, and refreshments. If you are interested in being a Fixer for an event, please reach out to our Outreach Coordinator, at outreach@seattlereconomy.org. We would love to have you! Funding provided by the Neighborhood of Matching Fund from the Seattle Department of Neighborhoods.

Community Fix-It Night - NE Seattle (NE Seattle)
It’s time to start collecting all those items around the house that need to be fixed but you don’t know how! Link: / We are hosting a FREE repair night at the NE Seattle Tool Library. We will help you fix and learn to fix your broken tools, lamps, toys, furniture, appliances, and any other broken items that you can carry in on your own. We encourage you to help as much as you can and enjoy the community of reuse! If you are excited about fixing and want to help out with this event or other fixing opportunities we are looking for more fixers. Sign up to help out at this event here or join our list of fixers by sending us an email at NESTL@seattlereconomy.org. ACCESSIBILITY: Much of the NE Seattle Tool Library interior is wheelchair accessible. All entrances have ramps that may exceed a 5 degree slope. The all-gender restroom is quite small and not ADA compliant. Non-English and ASL interpreters are not provided at our classes and events, however attendees are welcome to bring their own interpreters. Please contact us with any accessibility notes or requests. GETTING THERE: By transit: Served by King County Metro bus route 372 stopping along Lake City Way NE at NE 98th St. Route 61 stops at NE Northgate Way & 23rd Ave NE and is a ½ mile walk from the tool library. By bike: There are multiple bicycle route options available to the tool library, and you are welcome to stow your bicycle inside the tool library during your visit. Car parking: There is a gravel parking lot that fits about 10 cars, and an asphalt parking lot that fits 5 cars. There is no ADA accessible parking.
