Free: Men’s Alpine Ski Boots (Alta Vista) Gifted 2015 Atomic Hawx 2.0 110 alpine ski boots Sold new in 2015 as boots for advanced-expert skiers. Stiffness: 110 Size: 26.5 (US men’s 8.5) Width: wide fit Sole length: 305 mm I used these 20-30 times per season for the past 10 years. I’m not sure that they would be a good option for anyone, but welcome anyone who wants to take a chance on them. Probably ok for an intermediate to advanced skier. All the buckles still work freely.

Request: K2 76cm Luv Bug child’s skis (Alta Vista) I’m looking for a used pair of 76cm K2 Luv Bug alpine skis with bindings (probably 2017-2020 vintage). They feature orange, purple, and pink colours. Odd request, I know. These were my granddaughter’s first pair of skis when I taught her to ski in 2019. But I didn’t keep them. I’d like to get a pair to hang on the wall at the cottage.

Free: Cedar-strip canoe to restore (Alta Vista) Gifted 16’ cedar strip canoe to either be restored or repurposed. It is a very stable, heavy, roomy canoe, ideal for fishing, waterfowl hunting, and lake touring. If not deemed restorable for use as a canoe, perhaps it could serve as a giant flower or garden pot? I have seen an example of this in the garden/outdoor ed area of a nearby school. It was made by my father in 1976 with 1” Eastern white cedar strips, covered with fibreglass sheets, and finished with a two-part epoxy paint (originally red, then refinished in olive green). It sat unused under tarps for the past 10 years or so during which time moisture got at it and rotted out some of the gunnels and some of the keel. The hull seems to be in good shape with the exception of some of the bottom deck strips. They are a bit soft on the inside where they meet the keel. I don’t know much about canoe restoration but I think this project would entail: replacing the gunnels, replacing or repairing the keel, sanding off the paint, re-fibreglassing, painting, replacing the stern seat frame, and adding seat webbing. I’ll give this a post a few days to ascertain interest (before cutting up the canoe and disposing of it).

Free: Old adult alpine skis (Alta Vista) Gifted 2015 Nordica Fire Arrow Ti 76 (168 cm) alpine skis. No bindings. Currently curb-side for garbage pickup on Oct 20. Well used over 10 seasons by expert skier (20-30 days per season). Perhaps suitable for craft purposes (chair, decor), or for a custom sliding device (toboggan, snow bike). Doubtful that they would be enjoyable as alpine skis given their age and usage.
