After harrowing adventures following his escape from prison camp in India he ended up in Lhasa, eventually becoming a companion and advisor to the young Dalai Lama. Portrait of a vanished world.

Free: Great Archeology Books - in German (Glebe) Gifted These three volumes are dated - they were worldwide bestsellers in the late 1950s. Archaeology has made enormous advances since then but these books still make for riveting reading. Much recommended for young readers fluent in German. These books sparked my lifelong interest in archaeology and I'd love to pass them on to a curious reader.

In very good condition but has some minor stains in one corner. 6" stitching along all sides, body has 12' diamond stitching to keep filling evenly distributed. If you get it cleaned it'll be like new. Downsizing.

A good way for a young person to maintain or improve their German. Some of these have already been gifted but there are enough left to interest someone with younger children or grandchildren. Free: Fine Cooking (Glebe) Gifted This magazine ceased publication a few years ago but old issues are a mine of useful information and a source of inspiration for any cook, whether a home cook or a chef. I have about 90 issues from between 2000 and 2018 to give away to persons dedicated to creating healthy and delicious meals. Some issues have markers or taped lists of specially enticing recipes but the mags, which were kept in solid box files, are not marked and are in good condition.
