Free: Many ribbons - GREAT CRAFT DE-STASH (Witton le Wear DL15) Okay, so there’s a bundle of silk sari off cut “raggedy” ribbons, a ball of multicoloured silk yarn, 6b unopened packs of beige binding and lots of length of ribbons of various colours, widths and lengths. Free: Four lengths timber - for raised beds? (Witton le Wear DL15) Gifted Calling allotment owners and veggie gardeners! I have four lengths of what I think is scaffold boards, approximately 90cm x 22cm x 5cm. Was going to use them for a raised bed but didn’t get round to it and they’re now in the way. Sorry they’re really hard to photograph but I guess you all know what scaffold boards look like! Collection from near Witton le Wear. Please help me out by suggesting a DAY and APPROXIMATE TIME (eg late morning, early afternoon) you could collect. Polite is lovely, but if you say “to suit you” or “any time” it doesn’t really help! Free: Plant pot movers/stands (Witton le Wear DL15) Gifted Three metal plant pot stands with wheels. They’re good for moving pots in the 30-50cm size range. You can put bigger pots on them but they don’t wheel so well with the very large ones. Free: Horticultural fleece, fabric pots and mini poly-tunnel (Witton le Wear DL15) Gifted There’s a roll of horticultural fleece (good for lining greenhouse), some large drawstring bags for horticultural fleece for wrapping shrubs overwinter, and a couple of fabric “air pruner” pots (read about them online), which are handy little fabric plant pots with handles. And there’s an unused mini poly-tunnel for protecting newly planted out seedling. I’m clearing out all the stuff in the third pic, all listed separately so check out my other posts. Free: Plastic garden netting (Witton le Wear DL15) Gifted PLANT POTS HAVE BEEN PROMISED, NETTING STILL AVAILABLE Various sizes of plastic plant pots and some bio degradable seedling pots - would suit someone starting up an allotment. Also a sheet of plastic netting (sorry don’t know size, but I’d guess no less than a metre long). Free: Garden growing bags (Witton le Wear DL15) Gifted There are three plastic growing bags thingies - as you can tell I don’t actually know what they’re called. The two orange ones are about 30cm deep and about 60cm wide and have drainage holes. The other one is like a small raised bed (except it’s not raised and it folds up when not in use), has drainage and also supports for canes. All good for growing veggies. Free: Tomato plant cuffs, seed trays, plant pot drip trays (Witton le Wear DL15) Gifted Three tomato plant cuffs. (These sit on top of your grow bag, you water into the rim and it keep the water from rotting the base of the stems). Six seed trays. Four plant pot drip trays for 10” pots. The other thing in the photo is one of those solar powered cat deterrent things with a ground spike, which is also available. Request: Cardboard boxes (Witton le Wear DL15) Withdrawn Does anyone have any strong cardboard boxes left over from a house move? I’d be happy to take them off your hands promptly. Free: Over radiator airer/dryer (Witton le Wear DL15) Expired I have four of these handy things and would prefer not to mess about splitting them up, if anyone can use all four. They adjust to fit most radiators and are great for drying woollens flat. Collection from near Witton le Wear
