Free: Trash Compactor - Needs TLC (Penngrove) Withdrawn This Whirlpool trash compactor has given us great service. Twist the spring loaded switch and it automatically went down until the pressure signaled it to stop and then it would come up again and stop. But a couple of years ago the automatic function failed, something in the pressure sensing I think. It goes down and then makes a rumbling noise when it tries to keep going and can't. I multi-task at something close by and flip the switch again when it makes the noise. Then it comes up and makes a louder noise trying to go beyond the top restraint. I shut it off then, BUT the plate usually is not all the way up (but almost!) so I turn it on and let it complain for a few seconds, shut it off and try the door. After 2 - 3 tries the door can open. I was perfectly fine with my manual process but now we (she) are upgrading the kitchen and she does not want a trash compactor, passé she says. Practical I say, but it is her kitchen. So, you could use it as is, or for more fun for the mechanically minded, you could figure out where in the pressure sensing system a screw loosened or a brace bent, etc. (And tell me when you've figured it out!) A video I just watched suggested the directional switch (PN WP777811) might be bad. I have taken switches apart and cleaned them up. I'm just trying to keep it out of the metal recycling bin at the dump.

Request: Old Decrepit car battery (Penngrove) Received Bought a new set of batteries for my diesel truck but still have some life in one of them, but I'd like to get my core charge back. Might you have an old decrepit car battery sitting around that needs to be recycled?? :-)

Free: Trampoline (Penngrove) Expired Used outdoor trampoline with safety net. Got rolled in a high wind. One net support needs to be unkinked and one section of the belly piping has a small kink. An hour's effort and it's good to use. Best for children. It's been around for a while. Monday it goes to metal recycle, so don't delay.

Free: Cute Coffee Travel Thermos (Penngrove) Gifted This cute thermos has a plug-in heater/warmer with a shut-off switch and a thermometer. Great conversation piece. Missing the plug-in accessory but maybe it will show up by the time you pick it up. I used it just with already-hot coffee.

Free: CORDED Craftsman 14" Chain Saw (Penngrove) Expired This is a handyman offer. As you can see in the picture this chainsaw is apart with a bad trigger switch (part # 530025518). I pulled the switch apart and cleaned everything but putting the switch back together has "tested" me. I already have several corded chain saws (which I love when within range of house or gen power. No dead batteries or gasoline fumes) so I have no need to push this repair further. A new switch is no longer available. Maybe a used switch from a local repair facility like Fulwider, put this switch back together or jury-rig another switch (safe??). I'll wait a couple of days and then it's into the metal recycling hopper.

Free: Kids chairs and children's easel (Penngrove) Gifted Grandkids have outgrown these plastic chairs and children's easel. They are dirty from being stored, but not in the sun. Easel is a chalk board on one side and a dry marker on the other. Both sides have clips for hanging a coloring paper.
