Request: Adults non-fiction books (Bassingbourn, SG8) Does anyone have some secondhand books please they don’t mind giving away? They don’t need to be in perfect condition, they’re just something for me to personally read. I’m particularly interested in adults non-fiction books on the following subjects: history, politics/geopolitics, facts, philosophy, anthropology, English language/etymology, DIY. I am happy to collect from most places within 15 miles of Royston and I’m flexible on days and times. Thank you!

Has zips so might be able to be undone and removed but not sure. Size small on label. No delivery or holding sorry. Will be binned if no takers.

Free: Arts and crafts stuff (Bassingbourn, SG8) Gifted FREE: Arts and crafts stuff. A real mixed bag so not totally sure on what’s there and haven’t inspected every item. Unfortunately the plastic box is not included (the reason I’m giving this stuff away is because I want to use the plastic box) 😅. Will put it in a carrier bag for whoever has it. All to be collected together by one person from Bassingbourn ASAP please. I haven’t got anywhere to store it so need it gone today or tomorrow. Thanks.

Free: Horse turnout rugs (Bassingbourn, SG8) Gifted Several horse turnout rugs. None of which are in good condition at all. Also a premier equine neck cover. All need attention but may do someone a turn. All to go as one lot. More info available if anyone is genuinely interested. Must be collected during daylight hours.

Free: Sheet Music Stand - ? Easel (Bassingbourn, SG8) Gifted Colourful folding metal sheet music stand. Could also double up as an easel I suppose???? No longer needed now that I’ve not played my clarinet for donkeys’ years! Nothing “wrong” with it, but it’s been in storage so would benefit from a quick wipe down. Collect ASAP please.

One of my dogs doesn’t drink enough and I want to trick her by mixing water with powdered kibble but I don’t have a food processor to do so. Free: Himalayan salt lamp - WORKING (Bassingbourn, SG8) Gifted Tested yesterday, working with brand new bulb. Does have some wear and tear (from the salt) to the wooden base but you can easily hide it against the wall if that makes any sense. Very heavy but can be lifted by one adult. Would say it’s approx 30cm tall so not small. Sorry, I cannot hold or deliver or post. NEED COLLECTED TODAY SATURDAY because it’s big and heavy and in the way 😅

Free: Gym weights / body building etc (Bassingbourn, SG8) Expired 4x 6.5kg weights. There are 4 more gold ones in the shed you’re welcome to as well that are smaller but not sure on the kg. Maybe between 2-5kg. Can’t see anything “wrong” with them in terms of function, but they will need a clean due to being stored in the shed. I would like all 8 weights collected together by the same person please. Thank you!

Free: Grey uplighter - working (Bassingbourn, SG8) Gifted Fully working grey uplighter lamp. Sadly no bulb or shade but the shade ring is there. Some minor paint chips but could easily be repainted as is likely wood underneath or can be used as is. Sadly no room for it in my tiny house so must go. I have cleaned it but it’s had to be relocated to my lean to due to lack of space indoors so collection ASAP please.

Free: Very large mirror in wooden frame (Bassingbourn, SG8) Gifted Mirror itself is in VGC but the frame has some wear and tear and imperfections (have tried to photograph). If someone was able to put some wood filler on it and paint it, it would look as good as new. You could still absolutely use it as it stands but I just don’t want anyone turning up expecting it to look perfect. I'm only getting rid of it because my house is tiny and I haven't got anywhere to put it. The entire mirror including the frame measures 76cm x 107cm. It’s not stupidly heavy. Can easily be lifted by one adult by themselves. Collection from Bassingbourn. Cannot deliver. Cannot hold sorry.

Request: 20mm MDPE pipe minimum 15 metres (Bassingbourn, SG8) Expired I’m wondering if anyone has some 20mm MDPE blue rigid water pipe they’re willing to give away please. I would need at least 15 metres but I would be happy to take up to 25 metres off your hands if you want it out of the way. I’m happy to collect from areas up to 15 miles away from Royston and can be flexible on days and times. Thank you.

Free: Fully working ceiling fan (Bassingbourn, SG8) Expired Would anyone like this fully working ceiling fan for free? It’s kind of like a silver/grey colour. It’s not in showroom condition because I’ve had it for quite a while but there’s nothing wrong with it that wouldn’t be classed as ‘normal wear and tear’. One of the blades has a minor chip on it. I also have a video of the fan fully working which obviously couldn’t be captured in a still photo. From memory, I think it’s really heavy. I am offering this for free on the basis that the “taker” is happy to come and fully disconnect it safely and also rewire a standard basic hanging pendant lightbulb back in its place for me. I’ve included a photo of the pendant I need fitting as well. If you’d like to do this slightly odd exchange then I can facilitate someone coming to collect the ceiling fan and put the pendant in either Sunday 5th evening or from Monday onwards. I am in Bassingbourn. Thank you.

Free: Dimplex Electric Fireplace WORKING (Bassingbourn, SG8) Gifted Dimplex Electric Fireplace - do believe it’s the Mozart model in cream Good points: • Both heat settings completely work • Not in horrendous condition Bad points: • Bulb for flame effect needs replacing but the light does work • Some scuffs to cream paint but could easily be repainted because it’s wood not plastic • Very heavy • Will need a clean Exact measurements: 93cm width 87cm tall 33cm wide Collection from Bassingbourn only. From a smoke free home but I have pets. Will definitely need two people. Sorry I cannot help with loading. JUST NEED IT GONE AS TAKING UP SPACE

Request: Carpet off-cut (Bassingbourn, SG8) Expired I am looking for a carpet off-cut in good, clean condition that measures a minimum of 4ft x 3ft please. Alternatively, two smaller bits measuring 2ft6 x 2ft6 and 1ft6 by 2ft6 would also be fine. I can also supply the measurements in centimetres if needed. Darker colours like beige, brown, black etc would be preferred please. Patterns are also fine as long as the colours aren’t light. Happy to collect this week commencing 18th from areas close to Royston inc villages - flexible on days and times. Thanks ever so much.

Free: Oil Cloth bag (Bassingbourn, SG8) Gifted Would anyone like this floral oil cloth floral bag for free. The bag is actually not very used - maybe once or twice from brand new however it’s been left in the car so will need a wipe down and freshen up but all the stitching etc looks good. The leather bits are not real leather. The main zip is broken but the flap still goes over and fastens on the side and there is another fully working zip on the outside of the bag and the internal compartment. I haven’t measured it exactly but it’s about 25/30cm across by about 20cm up so not tiny and not massive. Would fit a small tablet in like a Kindle but not a big iPad. Sorry for essay but I want to avoid any disappointment even if it’s a free item. It will need collecting from Bassingbourn and I cannot deliver sorry. If there aren’t any takers after a few days then I will just bin it.

Free: Wooden tack locker outdoor cupboard (Bassingbourn, SG8) Gifted Does anyone want this wooden tack locker as it stands for free? Would need to be collected from a village just outside of Royston. (Herts/Cambs border). It’s not in perfect condition and would need some TLC although it’s pretty functional. Has 2 locks that I’ve got keys for. It’s mostly waterproof but I probably wouldn’t recommend keeping a 4k saddle in it outside, but would be fine in a barn or outside to store inexpensive items. It’s got wheels on the bottom as well. Alternatively you could use it as a non-horsey tool shed or something as well but you may want to remove the internal saddle rack in that case. It’s very large and heavy. Wouldn’t fit in a normal car i don’t think unless it was an estate with all the seats down. I cannot help to load it unfortunately. I would estimate it’s roughly 4ft x 3ft but I can get exact measurements for anyone who is seriously interested. No time wasters please. Thank you.

This equals 20 sachets as there’s 4 in each box. All of them are in date until 12th February 2026. Must be collected from Bassingbourn please. To go altogether. Don’t need them gone urgently but I’m worried about the date on them coming up. If no one wants them by Monday 2nd February, I’m going to bin them. Thank you.

Doesn’t need any fancy bells and whistles - just needs to be able to make and receive calls. Free: Outdoor wall mounted metal bell (Bassingbourn, SG8) Gifted Bell to ring at a door in a “WELCOME” design. Brand new in box with instructions and all parts except screws and wall plugs. No longer needed as I purchased a video doorbell instead. Must be collected from Bassingbourn - I cannot deliver.
