Handles a wide range of item shapes well, just not intended for very heavy pots and pans, which would likely break the plastic “grass” This item was bought for college age child to use - didn’t take it and is now out of college and still not using this item. For neck comfort, ideally for somebody with a big,heavy head or who prefers a firm pillow that gives excellent neck support for back lying and fairly good side lying support: CozyPlayer contour memory foam pillow Cushion Lab Cervical Pillow Both were tested fully wrapped in plastic and pillow case one time each, but the person who tested them didn’t like either one and wound up going with a tempurpedic Cloud cooling pillow.
