3 pkgs old frozen TJ beef tamales (Petworth/ Park View)
TJ = Trader Joe’s 2 tamales per package We are vegetarian; a meat-eating housemate abandoned these a couple of years ago in our freezer. There’s no discernable expiration dates on these. I tried one of the vegetarian tamales today and it tasted good but YMMV. To keep them frozen we will need to plan a specific pick-up time when I am at home- but I am at home most days.

“Best by” date is January 2024, but - the only two ingredients are chia seeds and chickpeas, and - bag is unopened. There’s no way that this vacuum-packed product can have gone “bad” since 2024. Contains the equivalent of 34 eggs. Use in recipes where egg is a binder (this will be mostly baking recipes).

I have another one of these which has turned up. This one is in better condition. You put the boots upside down on the pegs or whatever you call them. The underneath of the wood has little rubber feet. Honestly it’s not very sturdy because it’s made of chipboard under a veneer. So don’t immerse it in water or kick it really hard, or the chipboard will probably start to crumble. The other boot rack got one of the pegs loose from some type of mistreatment.

One or more of the pegs is a bit loose because the chipboard has chipped away around its screw. But it will still function perfectly well so long as it gets treated gently. So better to use it in a closet than right by the front door.
