Free: Zebra grasses - to be dug out (Browns Line/Lakeshore) 5d - A large (approx. 2’ diameter) clump of zebra grass available to be dug out from our yard. Last years’ growth are cut down to about 6” high as pictured, and will grow to 5-6 feet tall with colourful feathery tops in fall thru winter as pictured. Roots are about 6” deep in the soil. Bring own shovel & garden fork and containers or large plastic liner for your trunk. Root clump easiest to cut into smaller sections for weight & handling.

Free: Bird bath concrete base (Browns Line/Lakeshore) Gifted 9d - A solid concrete columnar base for a concrete bird bath. Could be used for any other purpose. 26” tall, with a 4.5” round top which would normally fit into the underside of wide bath basin. This is heavy! Probably 50-60 pounds. Pick up day or evening

Free: Wood gates 2 pcs. approx 35” x 43” (Browns Line/Lakeshore) Gifted 10d - 2 identical gates that are older but solidly built with pressure treated 2x4, 2 x 6 and wood lattice. Gray stain is wearing off, needs freshening up. Each gate is approximately 35” wide by 43” tall x 3.5” thick. Strap hinges one side and gatelatch handle on other, one each built as LH&RH. There is also a similar sized section of deck guardrail of the same style. Can take more pics if needed.

Free: Cdn Tire booster pack needs battery (Browns Line/Lakeshore) Gifted 40d - Older (2007) Canadian Tire MotoMaster 12VDC booster pack for starting vehicles, has built-in air (tire) compressor, 12VDC cigarette lighter socket for 12V accessories, and 120VAC inverter with 2 120V sockets capable of supplying non-sinusoidal AC power up to 320 watts continuous. IMPORTANT: THIS UNIT NEEDS A NEW BATTERY of sealed lead-acid type, 12v 18-21 Ahr capacity, preferably AGM construction, available at some local battery supply houses. THIS BATTERY WOULD COST YOU IN THE $100 + RANGE. I have replaced the battery once already, back in 2011 for cost of $72+ tax. I have since stopped using this unit (when the replacement battery died, as all L-A batteries eventually do) and have changed to using a smaller size Lithium -Ion booster pack. This unit would be suitable ONLY for someone who is knowledgeable enough and capable of replacing the battery & reassembling the booster pack safely & properly. Can be picked up curbside upon making appointment for date & time. Only reply if serious to pick up.

Free: American Standard 6L flush toilet (Browns Line/Lakeshore) Gifted 86d - I have a complete American Standard white toilet, well used, but working fine. Rated for 6L water per flush. It is out to the curb for garbage day pickup tomorrow Jan24 but if someone wants this toilet I will pull it aside for later pickup by interested party. Want it gone ASAP so only reply if you're serious and able to pickup with your vehicle during this week. Ad will be deleted on Jan 24.

Free: Solid comfortable armchair (Browns Line/Lakeshore) Gifted 134d - A VERY comfortable armchair that is also very solid & sturdy. Dark brown colour. The bonded leather is slowly deteriorating, with the leather surface separating in the wear areas (seat, arms primarily). There are no rips or tears in the surface, so its only a cosmetic problem. Could use as-is if not minding appearance, or put a slip cover over it. Dimensions 30” wide, 30” front to back, 20” seat height, 40” tall to top of back. Only passing it along due to the leather appearance otherwise would keep. Reply with proposed date and rough time of day for pickup. When appointment confirmed, I can put it out on sheltered porch for easy pickup. South of Lakeshore Blvd W and east of Browns Line.

Free: Norway maple log rounds - firewood? (Browns Line/Lakeshore) Expired 271d - Firewood length (~16”) log rounds of Norway maple hardwood. About 5-7 pieces 16” diameter and 2 pcs about 12” diameter. Cut 1 year ago so aged and ready to split into firewood. 1 pc. longer & larger (trunk of tree - about 2’ dia x 3’ long). Bring own wheelbarrow or dolly to carry to your vehicle. Can pick up day or evening upon appointment so reply with day/date and time you will come for it. South west Etobicoke location.

Free: Infinity G35 automobile carpets (Browns Line/Lakeshore) Gifted 282d - A set of interior floor carpets from a 2005 Nissan Infinity car, model G35 sport coupe. May fit other year G35 or other model (e.g., M35?) Infinity or Nissan vehicles. Available for porch pickup; reply only if you can confirm a weekday date for pickup.

Request: Ikea cupboard door- ‘Stat’ design (Browns Line/Lakeshore) Expired 294d - I need a 15” wide x 30” tall Ikea cupboard door of the STAT design, white colour, to match the door seen in the photos. It has a raised center area on the face of the door with vertical grooves thru it. This is the discontinued Ikea Akurum kitchen cabinet line. I need the second door to complete my sink cabinet. Thank you!

Request: Rhubarb plant (Browns Line/Lakeshore) Expired 356d - If anyone has extra/unwanted rhubarb growing that they can part with, I would like some to plant in my garden. Can pick up at your location & convenience. Thanks! Free: Rose of Sharon plants (seedlings) (Browns Line/Lakeshore) Gifted 358d - I have MANY small sprouts of Rose Of Sharon flowering trees/shrubs growing in my yard, originating from seeds dropping from mature shrubs. They need to be removed before growing too large so am offering them to whomever can use them. Shrubs continuing to flower from late spring all season long until frost. Sizes from 8-10” tall up to 4’. They start with just a tap root while small so are easy to pull out now while soils are moist. Reply with a date to pick up and I will make sure some plants are available at front porch in a bucket of water. Take whatever you please; bring a pot, container or bag to take plants with you. Roots should be kept moist until planting. Possible to arrange to dig some larger plants in person, by arrangement

Request: Cable for Bose AV3-2-1 media center (Browns Line/Lakeshore) Expired 1y - Looking for the cable which connects the Bose brand AV3-2-1 GS Media center (radio receiver & CD player unit) to the Bose subwoofer & speaker system. The cable is black or grey, and is about 10-12 feet long (or longer), and most importantly has the square connector on BOTH ends with about 14 pins in it, as seen in cable pic #1. Not a common cable so this is a long shot, but if someone has a spare/ unneeded cable or even more parts of this set of audio equipment (AV3-2-1 system components shown in picture #2), I’d appreciate getting it as it will allow me to use my Bose equipment, rather than just collecting dust. I can drive wherever to pickup. Thanks!

Free: Curb alert chipboard wood sheets (Browns Line/Lakeshore) Expired 1y - 5 pcs of chip board in good dry condition approx 16” x 6’ x 3/4” thick. Tomorrow (Wednesday) is garbage day so if not picked up early they may end up in the garbage truck. If I see they are gone I will take down posting. Not mine; seen at curb at 53 Thirty Seventh St south of Lakeshore Blvd W. Near Browns Line.

Free: 50” Panasonic plasma TV for repair (Browns Line/Lakeshore) Gifted 1y - Panasonic plasma 50” television not working properly (needs repair). Model TC-P50S30, has ‘14 blink code error’ which apparently relates to the CPU ROM. There is various info online about the fault, which nay help with fixing the problem. Otherwise TV is in good condition. No remote - will need a replacement (inexpensive universal, or original remote). Stand included. Pick up day or evening. Reply with date & time for pickup.

Free: LG 29” monitor for parts only (Browns Line/Lakeshore) Gifted 1y - Current model, 29WK500, (29” diagonal screen) LG computer monitor has broken LCD panel and is therefore not usable, but parts such as frame, stand, logic board are still good and can be salvaged. Reply with pickup date and approx. time, and unit will be set outside for porch pickup.

Free: Large wire-frame Santa (Browns Line/Lakeshore) Expired 1y - Curbside alert! 5’ tall wire frame Santa with teddy bear, not mine, but seen out for waste pickup next to # 3423 Lakeshore Blvd W (south side) in Long Branch, Etobicoke Feb 2. Has wiring for lighting in it. First come first served. .

Free: Salomon XC ski bindings SNS PROFIL (Browns Line/Lakeshore) Expired 1y - Older cross country ski bindings made by Salomon, SNS PROFIL type. Newer binding types have longer, larger center ridges under the boot (or even a double ridge), but these will work for the older SNS boot if anyone can use them. 3 mounting screws included, need 3 more (common screw at ski shops). Heel plates and rear of ridge plate use included black nails to attach to ski; one heel plate is missing the nail & could be hot glued to ski to help secure it.

Free: 1/4 pail of foundation coating (Browns Line/Lakeshore) Expired 1y - About 1/4 remaining of a 19L pail of water-based asphalt foundation coating, made to waterproof wood, concrete, etc. unfortunately it has been sitting and water evaporated so its dried up & solid. I added about 1 oz. of solvent paint thinner to about 2 cups of product and reconstituted it to useful consistency to coat some fence post bottoms. So remainder could be made useful again as well with a bit of work.

Free: BBQ burner control valves & reg (Browns Line/Lakeshore) Expired 1y - Dual control valves for outdoor propane BBQ on a supply hose with regulator and propane tank fitting, and a secondary hose for side burner or rotisserie. Brand of equipment unknown. May be used for parts or refit to BBQ?

Free: Double mattress & box spring (Browns Line/Lakeshore) Gifted 1y - I have a very clean and in great condition, set of double size (54” wide) mattress and box spring (with springs inside, not solid hard platform). These were lightly used seasonally at our cottage, with mattress cover always on so the mattress although older is still quite good and clean as new. Also, no bedbug worries! Earlier pickup desired, the mattress set is ready to go, on my trailer.

Free: VHS videotape kids movies (Browns Line/Lakeshore) Gifted 1y - Some VHS tapes of various kids movies, for anyone who can run them on a VCR. Porch pickup. Reply with date & time of pickup & I will give address & put them out.

Free: Wood shavings small animal bedding? (Browns Line/Lakeshore) Gifted 1y - About 2-3 garbage bags full of maple hardwood shavings from chainsaw work - some all nice chips, some more like sawdust ( depending on where/how I was cutting). Would be suitable for bedding material for hamster or other small animals? Reply with day & approx time coming for pick up and I will give address & put out in black garbage bags for you.

Free: BBQ accessories (Browns Line/Lakeshore) Gifted 1y - 1) Aluminum griddle pan approx 11” x 18” one side smooth, opposite side with ridges for searing lines & allow drippings to separate. Has never been used but sitting inside BBQ the paint along bottom edge is flaking off due to moisture exposure. 2) painted steel vegetable BBQ bowl with punched holes, approx 11” diameter. Never been used but very light random surface rust which could be removed and oiled with vegetable oil when used for cooking. Take either item or both. Contact-free porch pickup. Free: electric tiller/cultivator (Browns Line/Lakeshore) Gifted 1y - Earthwise brand 120V electric tiller/cultivator with folding handle for compact storage. Needs some fixing - motor tries to run but something is jammed in the driveline, preventing tines from moving. Handy person could dismantle & find whats wrong.
