Free: Tall wooden bookcases (Bryn-y-cochin SY12) Two tall wooden (well, melamine-coated chipboard!) bookcases with a medium pine-style finish (but more brown than orange :-) ). Each bookcase is 89cm wide x 35cm deep x 192cm high. Each bookcase has five shelves (77cm wide x 30cm deep): the base level, a fixed shelf just over halfway up, and three adjustable shelves which can be positioned to accommodate your chosen heights of book. Both are in good condition (one has a hole in the back panel big enough to pass through a UK mains plug) and will look great after a once-over with a damp sponge. Obviously anyone wishing to have these items will need a vehicle with boot/cargo space big enough to hold them. (The adjustable shelves are removable, but the rest of the bookcase cannot easily be disassembled.)

Free: Large jewellery box (Bryn-y-cochin SY12) Gifted This is a fairly large jewellery box - 32cm wide x 11.5cm tall x 20.5cm deep. The exterior is cream with a gold inlay; there's no major damage, but it has some wear and tear so would benefit from a clean and some TLC. Opening the lid reveals two layers of trays with multiple compartments, and also opens a drawer at the bottom which provides even more storage. The inside of the lid has a row of hooks and an elasticated pocket. All of the interior is finished in red felt.

Free: Bag of fabric/material scraps (Bryn-y-cochin SY12) Withdrawn A fairly large bag full of fabric offcuts and scraps. All kinds of material, all kinds of shapes and sizes, so a real lucky dip... definitely more suitable for crafters than dressmakers!

Free: Charging dock with clock for older Apple iPhones (Bryn-y-cochin SY12) Withdrawn This is an XDock3 made by Kitsound, which offers a charging dock for any Apple iPhone that has a Lightning port (so not the latest models which have a USB connection). The unit has a digital clock which is set automatically when a compatible phone is plugged in. The original instructions and power supply are included. The device also includes an FM radio and the ability to play audio from the phone BUT this aspect is not working. There is no obvious damage so I don't know why this has failed. Someone with electronics skills might be able to fix it. Note that the iPhone 8 shown in one of the photos is NOT included in this offer - it is just there to show scale and how the dock works.

Free: Puppet theatre (Bryn-y-cochin SY12) Withdrawn This is a children's puppet theatre which I think is designed to be used with marionettes (i.e. puppets hanging on strings). The assembled theatre is approximately 57cm wide, 57cm tall, and 20cm deep. It can be disassembled for easy storage.

Free: Cargo nets for vehicles (Bryn-y-cochin SY12) Withdrawn I believe that these are cargo nets or rear dividers to fit in some model of vehicle. Unfortunately I don't know much about them, because I found them in the garage when we moved into our house. There are no obvious markings on either item - not even a manufacturer's name. One of the nets rolls up into a rigid tube which is 108cm long. The net, when rolled out, is 82cm wide (98cm including the metal pins at each end) and 68cm long. The other net is trapezium-shaped: 126cm wide on the longest edge, 96cm wide on the opposite edge (108cm including the metal pins) and 50cm long. I'm happy for both to be taken together, or to split and donate them separately.

Free: Document transcription stands (Bryn-y-cochin SY12) Expired These items are designed to stand alongside a computer screen and hold an A4-sized document to assist with transcription. Both stands have various adjustable knobs so that they can be positioned and angled to suit the user. They also have "arms" that can extend from the side to support wider documents. Maximum height is approximately 60cm. One stand has a fairly heavy base, a sprung clip at the top to grip a document, and a horizontal bar to track position down the page. The other stand is designed to be screwed down, or be tucked under the adjacent computer or screen. I'm happy for both stands to be taken together, or to split and donate them separately.

Free: Dolphin tile transfers (Bryn-y-cochin SY12) Gifted Two packs of Dolphin tile transfers - each pack is a different design, and each pack contains 30 transfers. The packs are brand new and unopened, but have been stored for a while so the outer plastic bags are a bit grubby.

Request: Fleece blankets/material (Bryn-y-cochin SY12) Expired My wife is making dog toys (see photo) to sell in aid of an animal rescue charity. They're made by knotting strips of fleece material like blankets, and we're getting through our stock really quickly! If anyone has any spare old fleece blankets or similar (at least one dimension needs to be longer than 5-6ft/150-180cm) then please let me know. Thanks! Phil.

Free: IKEA Bertby wall-mounted display cabinet (Bryn-y-cochin SY12) Gifted This is an IKEA Bertby wall-mounted display cabinet. The hinged, magnet-fastened front door has a birch veneer finish around the main glass pane. Inside there are 9 glass shelves. Maximum dimensions approximately 43cm W x 170cm H x 18cm D. There are two downlighters at the top of the cabinet, but they are not currently working. Hopefully the included transformer is still functional, and it'd just be a case of fitting new bulbs. All fittings included. There is some damage to the white interior veneer at the bottom of the inside of the cabinet.

Free: Windows 10 laptop with dead battery (Bryn-y-cochin SY12) Gifted This is a 9 year old HP ProBook 450 G3 laptop PC running Windows 10 Pro 64-bit. The battery has failed, so the laptop can only be used while plugged into the mains through the included power supply. (A replacement battery could be bought online for about £80 and easily fitted.) Full specification: model #P4P52ET with Intel Core i5 dual core Gen6 processor, 4GB RAM, 500GB SSD, CD/DVD RW drive, 15.6” widescreen display (1366x768), trackpad with separate buttons, webcam, fingerprint reader, Ethernet port & WiFi, Bluetooth, 4 USB ports, HDMI & VGA ports, SD card reader. Dimensions 37.8cm W x 26.43cm D x 2.48cm H, and weight 2.07kg. Apart from the battery problem, the laptop is in good working condition with just a few signs of wear. Note that the laptop is not capable of running Windows 11, and official Microsoft support for Windows 10 ends in October 2025. Free: Very old (but working) Apple iPad (Bryn-y-cochin SY12) Gifted This is a working 3rd generation Apple iPad, released in 2012. It is the 16GB silver Wi-Fi + Cellular model (A1430). IMPORTANT: The iPad runs iOS 9 and cannot be upgraded to anything more recent, so is unable to run many modern apps. The iPad features Apple's old 30-pin dock connector (not Lightning or USB-C). The battery is original and still seems to hold a charge. The screen and case are in great condition. Included with the iPad are two USB cables, a mains power adaptor, a car charging lead, a Camera Connector Kit, a rather worn white magnetic cover, and an unopened Griffin Essentials Bundle containing an Elan Passport case, an anti-glare screen care kit, a tablet stand and a stylus. Free: Display cabinet (Bryn-y-cochin SY12) Gifted This is an attractive wooden display cabinet with three levels inside (the wooden base, plus two glass shelves) and a curved glass front giving excellent visibility of items placed inside. A full mirror back further enhances the view and lighting. There's a single central door - unfortunately with no key, so the cabinet cannot be locked. The cabinet is in reasonable condition but could be made even better with a bit of TLC. It is 104cm wide by 33cm deep by 114cm tall (so will probably require a van or larger-than-average car to collect).
