Hanging Oil & Wax Melt Burner (Winnersh RG41)
Promised
This is a two-piece oil&wax melt burner, about 18cm high. We’ve never used it, as it got dumped on us as part of a house move, so I can’t comment on its performance.

1.2l stainless steel cafetière (Winnersh RG41)
Gifted
This is an unused stainless steel cafetière we were given many years ago and that just surfaced again.

A sculptural puzzle (Winnersh RG41)
Gifted
Turned and carved from sapele, this is the ‘solved’ version of the puzzle. Normally you would present it as a collection of pieces and leave the victim to it… it’s about 12” square-ish and not particularly heavy.

3 wooden puzzles (Winnersh RG41)

things you can take apart and then lose one of the bits… These are complete but surplus now, so they need a new home…

Free:
25m extension reel (Winnersh RG41)
Gifted
This is an extension reel with the usual warning; 1kW closed, 3kW fully extended. It supports two standard UK plugs and has a thermal cutout.

6 plastic IKEA boxes (Winnersh RG41)
Gifted
We were clearing out and found a cache of IKEA kitchen boxes, useful for storing practically anything small (133mm square, down to 91mm, plus an oblong one).

Plasma lighter/torch/survival gizmo (Winnersh RG41)
Gifted
This is a Suprus USB arc lighter along with its ‘survival’ add-ons. I got it for my cigar-smoking wife 2 weeks ago, which shows how quickly she tired of it. Uses USB-C, has a strobe function (for attracting attention in the dark wilderness), and can(with a little care) light a small cigar(she doesn’t smoke large ones).

Bosch microwave platter (2off) (Winnersh RG41)
Withdrawn
This is a pair of 245mm glass microwave platters, the bits that go round and carry the food. They’re from a microwave that someone destroyed by forgetting to put water into the rice cooker… Anyway, these are the original platter and its new replacement, intended to work with the microwave until we tried it and found the smoke/molten plastic coming back out of the works… so these are the usable bits from said microwave. Dishwasher clean, they’re still usable and not easily recyclable, so here we are.

Fox S2500-G2 grid-tied inverter (Winnersh RG41)
Gifted
This is a 6 month old solar inverter, made redundant by our other inverter upgrade. For details, please see /; it came as part of the community solar purchase that Wokingham did last year and it’s redundant because we upgraded our existing solar PV with a SolarEdge that would support the emergency power supply; think of it as auto-islanding from the other side. It’s got the WiFi widget on the bottom and that worked ok. If you want to get into solar PV and need a cheap start, this could be it. However, get advice from someone actually qualified in this; 400v can be hard to walk away from.

Tefal induction hob (Winnersh RG41)
Gifted
This is something we bought a couple of years ago when we were thinking about getting rid of our gas usage, to be able to test induction cooking. We learnt a lot from our brief experience with this thing, and it’s why I’m moving it on. We did get shot of gas and we did switch our gas hob to induction but we didn’t use Tefal. This has very coarse control over temperature; if you’re looking to simmer milk, get used to cleaning burnt milk off your pots...

Vintage wardrobe shoe store (Winnersh RG41)
Gifted
It's a coat-hanger for hanging up shoes, probably of the female persuasion (one of my size 13s would fill a pocket). 12 pockets, formed of some cotton fabric and made by my mother-in-law sometimes after WWII....

2 parcel tape dispensers (Winnersh RG41)
Gifted
This is a couple of parcel tape dispensers, just about the last hangovers of our eldest moving from Wargrave to Berlin. One still has a ‘FRAGILE’ tape on it... totally bog-standard things for standard reels of sticky tape.

Triton shower kit (- mixer) (Winnersh RG41)
Gifted
We needed a replacement shower mixer and the only way to get one was to buy a complete kit(or so I was told). So now I have a shower kit with all the fittings to be a shower, minus the mixer. If you have a tired shower to revive ( and the mixer still works), then here you go...

Aluminium pots&pans (Winnersh RG41)
Gifted
Last year, we got rid of our gas boiler and went heat-pump. It made sense to get rid of the gas hob at the same time and put in an induction hob. These are the aluminium pans that simply won’t heat up on an induction hob. All from John Lewis, trademarked Tefal, in reasonable condition, there’s 20cm, 18cm,16cm and a 14cm milk pan, plus a 24cm hard anodised John Lewis frying pan.

Tripod floor lamp (Winnersh RG41)
Gifted
This is something that our eldest left us when he went from a 3-bedroom semi in Wargrave to a furnished studio apartment in Berlin. It’s got a LED bulb of strange appearance, is adjustable with wingnuts and is shown about halfway up to its maximum height. No idea of its provenance/origin/age, but it does work.

Tiny table saw (Winnersh RG41)
Gifted
I bought one of these () and it’s not worth it. These things look amazing but there’s no power worth talking about in the motor. If someone has enough patience and a small yet powerful motor, it could be good; as it is, it’s disappointing, so be warned.

Tenon saw (Winnersh RG41)
Gifted
This is an old (as in 55 years old) Spear&Jackson tenon saw. I had it when I was trying to do things with wood, and then left it alone when it became clear that I shouldn’t do things with wood, I found it a few years ago, had it sharpened by Wokingham Tools, and then put it away ‘somewhere safe’. It’s time it was set loose....

Smeg domino gas hob (Winnersh RG41)
Expired
This is a used Smeg PGF32G gas hob from their domino range. We’ve had it about 12 years and it worked just fine but we replaced it with an induction hob last week. The replacement was so that we could get rid of our use of natural gas and just go electric/renewable. The round thing is a removable wok ring, so that round-bottomed pans can be used with the hob.

3 nestable clip top boxes (Winnersh RG41)

These are general purpose clippable boxes, food-safe and air-tight. They’d been shoved into a cupboard when trying to export our eldest to Germany, and we just found them. It’s Freegle or hard-plastic recycling at Re3 Smallmead....

4 stainless steel egg rings (Winnersh RG41)

These things we ‘inherited’ from our eldest who moved to Germany, so we’ve never used them and had forgotten they were there. If you want neat round eggs, these are for you....

Cordless kettle (Winnersh RG41)
Gifted
White plastic Cookworks kettle, 1.7l maximum. This is the basic cordless kettle sold by Sainsbury’s, and it’s now been superseded by a posher one. This one works, I’ve descaled it so it should still have a future, and I don’t need more than one kettle.

Free:
Corduroy beanbag (Winnersh RG41)
Gifted
It’s a medium-sized beanbag, suitable for a teen. It could probably do with some more beans in it, and the reason for moving it on is that my son grew up and out of it...

Old wicker basket chair (Winnersh RG41)
Gifted
This is a wicker basket chair that I painted white quite poorly in the 60's. It's in 2 pieces, the wicker basket and the tripod frame holding it. It's still robust enough to take my weight 55 years later but it's getting difficult to get out of... The paperback is simply to add some scale and isn't on offer. It's surprisingly lightweight but still very slumpable; it's just that we need the space.

Fitness things (Winnersh RG41)
Gifted
These are some odds&sods of fitness stuff that we came across when tidying. There's an unused skipping rope, a 2.5lb weight that's been left in the sun somewhere, and two 3kg dumbbells. I don't mind if people want to pick individual items out, just so long as I don't get to recycle them...

Proworks exercise ball 55cm (Winnersh RG41)
Gifted
This is a Proworks exercise ball, the biggest they do (55cm - 80xm), plus inflator. It's use was as an office chair whilst I tried to rehabilitate after damage to my brainstem. I've since found that, however plastic some neurons are supposed to be, brainstem neurons just don't regenerate, so the ball has fallen out of use.

TV stand (Winnersh RG41)
Expired
This is a TV stand for one of the old CRT televisions, basically a 32" glass bottle of a device. The stand is therefore very strong and survived the removal of the TV. It's black MDF with silver details and a smoked glass door with one internal shelf. It's 20" x 20" x 32" with a good set of castors on it. Maybe a movable coffee table with storage?
