Scrap Books for Re-Use / Upcycling (Harrogate HG1)
Scrap Books on offer. These were used by me for my postcard collection as a child/young girl, hence all the annotations (which can have things stuck on top of them!) and photo corners (which can be peeled off). It would be a waste to put these into paper recycling (without the photo corners, of course), when I know they could be re-made into great scrapbooks of whatever kind. Here and there a double centre page has come loose, but of course could be re-attached/taped in - not rocket science ;) A couple of albums have come away from their cover. Ditto. Taker is welcome to choose whichever album or albums they prefer, including all of them if so desired. More photos available. Will send these to anyone who is interested to see more details of any particular scrap book.

The postcards have been removed, but there are still photo corners on some pages (these will come off) and also all the annotations for the postcards which used to be there. The central double page is loose. The cover has come away from the rest of the album. Could be used for an art project, I think, or maybe something else.

Digging Bar / Giant Chisel (Harrogate HG1)

I think this tool is called a Digging Bar. It's a kind of giant nail or chisel. This one is about 3ft or 1 metre long. It's used for thumping hard concrete or even hard earth, to make a hole for a fencing post or to break up hard ground or even concrete. It is barely detectable in the photo, but it is very, very slightly bent. I don't think it is bent enough for this to affect its effectiveness.

Plastic 'storage/tidy/handy' basket (Harrogate HG1)
Medium-sized plastic basket. 37.5cm long x 25cm wide (measured across widest parts) Cracked at one end. Does not affect performance! Photos show how cracked bit can be pressed into place and be barely noticeable. If used in a static position, will stay in place. Otherwise, only a small crack :) Surplus to requirements.

King Size Cotton Duvet Cover & Matching Fabric Pieces (Harrogate HG1)

King size duvet cover. Good quality pure cotton from Laura Ashley Homemade by me. Can include some spare/leftover pieces of the same fabric if the taker is interested. Enough to make matching pillowcases or cushion covers or whatever. The fabric is in great condition. Home environment has always been smoke- and pet-free. For opening and closing the cover, I fitted it with a very long zip. This has now broken irreparably. A new zip, a series of poppers or a length of popper tape needs to be fitted. Please see the photos showing how the stitching has come undone beyond each end of the zip because I continued to use the cover after the zip had given up the ghost. Fitting a new zip or replacing the zip with poppers or popper tape is a very straightforward sewing job for anyone used to sewing. I am not bothering to do this simply because I can't use this cover size.

Single feather duvet. Might even be feather and down, but the label is no longer legible and I can't remember. Can't remember the Tog value, either, but it's suitable for autumn-winter-spring, depending on how warm your house is! It is years old but has only been in our family and always in a smoke-free, pet-free house. Offering purely because it is surplus to requirements.

Double duvet set. Fresh design in pale grey with small white flecks. 1 double duvet cover. 2 standard-sized pillow cases. Made by me using 100% cotton from Laura Ashley. Very good condition. After all these years, the fasteners have to be pressed hard to click together or I can't actually fasten them myself any more. The new owner might want to stitch a fresh strip of something similar on, or just add new poppers to the existing strip. I am passing this on only because I have too many double duvet sets, not because of the poppers!

A large shoe box full of cassette tapes, almost all pre-recorded/commercially recorded music, plus the odd home recording (also music). Music of various genres - classical, opera, folk, French 'chansons' etc, American folk, traditional (e.g. Austrian, Russian, etc), instrumental, vocal, etc etc. N.B. I have listened to both sides of every single cassette over the last few months. All stretched/worn out cassettes have been binned. If the taker discovers poor quality recordings, then either the cassette has given up its ghost after my recent check, or my standards are lower than than the taker's!! They all sound either very good or good to me. I am still going through more cassettes which are not shown in the photo. These will be added to the collection being offered. Eventually, in not too long from now, hopefully, I will also be offering the cassette player with which I am testing all of these cassettes. Feel free to express an interest in that now.
