Cape Gooseberry/Physallis Cuttings (CT11) Gifted I brought my physallis plants indoors this year, because they've died outside for the past 2 years. If you've got a more sheltered spot, they should be fine. These are cuttings.

Scoby, To Make Kombucha (CT11) Gifted Kombucha is a great probiotic for your gut. [Could be prebiotic - look it up!] I make a strong mug of sweet black or green tea weekly. Drain off the finished kombucha into a bottle to drink during the week. I refill the jug of scoby with my diluted mug of sweet tea. That's it! I use 3 teaspoons of tea leaves [could be tea bags] to 60ish grms of sugar and approx 1ltr of tap water [boiling water in mug of tea, leave to stand for 30 mins, then dilute so it's cool for the scoby].

2 x phormium plants / New Zealand flax (CT11) Gifted 2 types of phormium - one is variegated green & cream - in the background. The other is more dark green. They're approx. 6ft / 2m tall. Apparently they can be used to make cord! RHS says "Phormium Common name: New Zealand Flax Phormiums are exotic-looking evergreen perennials. They offer striking, often highly-coloured sword-like leaves and slender flower spikes that rise above the foliage. While best grown in sunny borders and gravel gardens, they make great focal points in containers." They need to be planted soon!

kilner jars or any other brand for bottling fruit (CT11) Expired Do you have any kilner-type jars cluttering up your space? My ideal jars would have a metal lid. [Apparently jam jars cannot be used to safely bottle. Who knew?!] And if you have the clip type, that too would be great. Teasel Seedlings To Attract Goldfinches (CT11) Expired Want some teasel seedlings? You'll need to keep them watered in this heat - until established. Attract goldfinches to your garden - Scottish Wildlife Trust / If you'd like to attract these beautiful birds into your garden, you can plant one of their favourite foods, the teasel. Teasel plants are really great throughout the year, attracting insects with their purple flowers in the summer, and in the winter the seed heads dry out providing food for the goldfinch.

Old Working Mobile That Does WhatsApp (CT11) Expired Have you an old mobile that does WhatsApp and would be glad of a new home? I've just taken on the Admin role for a new WhatsApp group to share time and skills ... same, same but different from Ilovefreegle. You have to be recommended by a member to join the Give & Get Thanet WhatsApp group, or come to socials advertised on Facebook to get to know members who will recommend you. I need to admit new people, etc, etc. I'm currently using my partner's mobile, not sustainable in the long run. So if you have an old mobile tucked away somewhere, working and able to use WhatsApp, I'd love to give it a new home. Can you help?

Kenwood Blender Jug - Missing Bottom Rubber Ring (CT11) Expired This is an old Kenwood blender jug, in great condition - except that it hasn't got the rubber ring at the bottom. So it currently let's liquid flow out! Sadly the new rubber they produce doesn't fit the old jug! If you want a replacement jug and have the rubber, this would be great for you. I'm NOT offering the motor base because I can still use the grinder.

Filters for MVHR - Itho HRU G4 (CT11) Expired These filters are only useful to you if you have an MVHR [mechanical ventilation heat recovery unit] ... or you're happy to sell them on ebay. The model is no longer being manufactured - so someone whose MVHR is still working will be interested in having these. We have 2 unopened packs and 1 opened pack. Each pack has 2 filters. That means there are 5 unused filters plus one that was only just changed. Do get in touch if you can make any use of them!

Olive Tree Cuttings (CT11) Gifted Just pruned our organically grown olive tree so have some branches. You could make tea or grow the cuttings. For tea, see Healthy and Natural World › health-benefits-of-olive-leaf-extract Proven Benefits of Olive Leaf Extract and How to Make Olive Leaf Tea How to Make Olive Leaf Tea. If you have access to olive trees, you can make your own tea but make sure the leaves are of a good quality and haven't been sprayed with pesticides. Pick olive leaves in the mid-morning when any dew has dried. The leaves should ideally be oven-dried at just below 150 deg F.
