Free: CAT DOOR—Automatic raccoon-proof (Ballard) Promised This is the Solo automatic "guillotine-style" raccoon-proof cat door — Model 1008, designed for cats. (Solo also makes big dog doors). The device is 24" high and 12" wide, with an opening that is 10" high and 8" wide. It's made of metal, with a rigid plastic panel that is raised and lowered electronically when your cat's collar magnet triggers the device. This "guillotine" style is intended to prevent raccoons from pushing through the door or ripping the a flimsy plastic pet door right out of the door! The Solo 1008 weights 16 pounds. You cut a 10" x 8" low entry in a wooden exterior door (so your cat can easily step through). The Solo attaches to the inside of your door with screws (included) with its door opening aligned with the entry you've cut. Your door must be near an interior outlet (or you will need an extension cord) to plug in the unit. Your cat must wear a magnet on its collar (one magnet is included) to trigger the door to go in or out. When the magnet approached the door, the plastic plate slides up automatically; the cat door will automatically close (the plastic plate will slide down) a few seconds after your cat has walked through. This door I am giving away is used, but in very good condition. I purchased it $350 in several years ago and installed it (quite easily) in our basement door. My cat used it for three years before moving in with a neighbor! The door has not been used in a few years, but I cleaned it, and when I plugged it in and tested it with a magnet, it seems to work just fine. The white plastic cover panel, which is what you see from inside the house, is in perfect condition. A brand-new model 1008 pet door currently sells for more than $500! While this one has some cosmetic wear on the exterior, the interior (white cover surface) looks like new, and it seems to function perfectly well.

Free: 12-foot 2 x 8 pressure treated (Ballard) Gifted Giving away a 12-foot piece of 2x6 (1-1/2" x 7-1/4") pressure treated lumber. Has a slight curve to it. My painters left this last fall, and I'm not going to use it. Would be great for garden border or structure. For pickup in Ballard, Sunset Hill.

Free: Antique oak two-drawer file cabinet (Ballard) Gifted Antique oak two-drawer file cabinet. Metal interior drawers. Drawers open and close fully, but structure could use some work. For pickup just of Market St. in Ballard, near the Locks. Note that it’s rather heavy. Measures 31” high, 25” deep, and 15” wide.

Free: Two hollow core doors (Ballard) Expired Hollow core doors -- take one or both. 1. This door is painted eggplant (a dusty lavendar) on one side, and is in perfect condition--never installed (measures 80 by 32 inches). 2. This door has no paint, but has had some holes drilled in it (visible in photo). Never installed (measures 80 by 36 inches). Would make a great worktable. For pickup in Sunset Hill.

Free: flannel and cotton queen sheets (Ballard) Gifted These are a dozen queen-size (and a few full-size) cotton and flannel sheets (top and bottom) and duvet covers. Worn, but freshly washed. 100% cotton, no synthetics. Great for crafts, covering furniture on a move, etc.
