This is a terrific way to help kids learn about the states. The states are cut like puzzle pieces, so they fit together, and as they are magnetic, they stick to the board. This is missing Oregon and Vermont. Let me know when you would like to come by to pick it up: we are one minute from the San Pablo Dam Road offramp at I 80.

I would like to be put in touch with an elementary school teacher who is studying creeks with her or his students. Many years ago I ran “Kids in Creeks” workshops, and created a “Stream Inventory” kits that teachers could borrow: I still have one, and would like to pass it along. I’m wondering if you a know of a teacher who is doing creek studies with a class who might like it, and could pick it up soon? If you should know of a teacher who might be interested, would you pass this offer along to them?
