WoolCool ‘slug repellant’ (Selly Oak)

I have several packets of WoolCool sheets. It’s used as insulation for pet food that arrives frozen. It can be reused for many purposes, eg safe bird nesting material, stuffing pet beds, needle felting, and you can also use it for insulating plants from cold weather and as a slug repellant (eg, cut a sheet and surround base of plant with it). Slugs can’t crawl over it because it dries them out.

Safe bird nesting wool (Selly Oak)

Birds are currently nest-building. ‘WoolCool’ pure clean wool is safe for birds to use as nesting material. Clean and chemical free. This is used as insulation for our cat’s fresh food which arrives frozen (fussy bugger) and it’s perfectly safe to use for bird nesting. The birds and even the squirrels take this. I just hook a chunk of it onto a branch (sheltered from the rain) so they can tease out the fibres. Has so many other uses too, eg filling for pet beds, warm insoles for wellies and boots, roll it up to make draught excluders, crafting, etc and I’m sure it probably has uses for gardening too. I have a few packs spare so reply if you’re not too far from Selly Oak and you’d like some :)

It’s bird nesting season. I have some packs of ‘WoolCool’ insulation material that is safe for birds to use as bird nesting material. It’s pure wool that’s clean and free of chemicals. Our garden birds love it and even the squirrels have taken some. I just hang a chunk onto a branch (sheltered from the rain) and they pull bits off it. If you’d like some and you’re not too far from Selly Oak let me know. I have a few packs. Has lots of other uses too, including being good for making boot and welly insoles out of :)

Pair of rechargeable gravity salt & pepper grinders. You just tip them upside down and the dust flap opens and the contents are ground. Can be used for other spices and you can adjust how fine or course it grinds. Unused. Bought off Amazon. Decided I didn’t like them but didn’t want to spend £11 to return to China! Cost £30 🤨 Collection from Woolacombe Lodge Road. Please say when you can collect.

Ikea shoe rack / toy bench (Selly Oak)

Ikea Leksvik shoe rack made from antique stained solid pine. Also makes a great toy bench. 47” long x 14” deep x 18” high. This has seen better days because my grandchildren used it as a toy bench for a few years. I’ve managed to remove the pen and crayon marks but there is adhesive residue on the front corners where corner protectors were fixed. It will scrape off. The top has small dents all over it. The fixings need tightening. As this is solid wood it could be sanded and restained or painted. Much loved and used piece of furniture but sadly don’t have space for it now. Large Ikea Alex desk (Selly Oak)

Large white Ikea Alex desk with two drawers. Has a lift up compartment at rear of desk top to feed cables through and keep them tidy (has enough space for a multi socket extension lead). Still available to buy in Ikea (currently reduced from 179 to 129). Well used. Desk surface has some areas of water damage and some parts have yellowed with age. Metal frame/legs. The legs have been removed and dismantled for transport. If you can fit the desktop in your vehicle you will be able to fit the legs in. The frame/legs just clip together and you’ll need an Allen key to attach the frame to the desktop. Desk surface measures 132cm x 58cm. Collection today preferable. Don’t ask for it unless you know it will fit in your vehicle. Sorry I can’t reply to everyone.
