Free: Home-made workbench with vice (Little Herberts GL53) This workbench was made by my father sometime in the 1980s and is not exactly a piece of Chippendale or Sheraton! But, if you’re a keen woodworker, you might find it useful. It has cupboard and drawers for storage, plus a built-in vice. It is bulky and heavy and I doubt it would fit in a standard car (didn’t think to measure it but will do so soon and update this listing). You will need someone to help you lift it into a van or similar.

Free: Armchair for reupholstering (Little Herberts GL53) This armchair is a bit tatty, but is basically sound and could be smartened up if you’ve got the skills to reupholster it and re-varnish the woodwork.

Free: Early 20th c. drawer unit for restoration (Little Herberts GL53) Gifted This belonged to my grandmother and has been in my parents’ garage for 50-odd years, latterly used as a workbench/storage unit. The condition reflects that, but before I take it to the tip I thought I’d offer it in case anybody thinks it would make a restoration project. You must be able to collect in person and will need suitable transport - not sure it would go in the back of a standard-sized car.

Free: Ornamental garden trellis panel (Little Herberts GL53) Gifted Almost new. It was put up on our garden my our fence installer to replace a trellis damaged in the wind, but was not a good match to the others we have, so we took it down after about a month. Standard width. 44cm high at highest point.
