Ophiopogon - short black grass (Lewes BN7)
Very hardy - seems to cope with any conditions. I have a very full tray of fresh plants, dug out on Friday. To collect as soon as possible and please only reply if you intend to come as arranged (or give me a reason why you can't). I can leave them on the doorstep if I shan't be here. Assuming that as usual I have several replies, what I shall do is leave the tray out for the first person to take as much as they want and then contact the next person and so on until they have all gone. Yellow iris, don't know what type and didn't think they were flag irises but digging them out we found rhizomes. Tall, very tough and spreading. Could they be wild iris? Variegated lamia, energetic ground cover. Winter-flowering jasmime, with roots or prunings that will root easily. To collect Monday 11th afternoon or Sunday 17th. Three branches, not very thick; unseasoned as cut last week. The shortest and thirst is about 90cm long and about 8cm at the base. Pity for it to be used as firewood so I hope someone can use it for small sculptures. Let me know what you plan to do with it.
