Steam cleaner (Glenleigh Park TN39)

10-in-1 steam cleaner. A fine example of "you get what you pay for" - a cheap piece of Chinese c**p which I regretted buying almost as soon as I took it out of the box. The handle and mop head detach so it can be used as a held-held steam cleaner with various attachments. Unfortunately the attachment connector snapped the first time I used it. I've glued it back together (see photo) but haven't used it since so can't say whether the repair has worked. It works OK as a steam mop, though the flex is frustratingly short. So having used it a couple of times I boxed it back up and bought a proper branded one. Seems to be working fine, but it's up to the recipient to satisfy themselves of its safety before using it. Ancient Dyson DC04 in good working order. One of the (many?) previous owners managed to snap off bottom the cable hook and obviously failed to glue it back on (see photo), so the cable hangs from the top hook most of the time, and annoyingly falls onto the floor the rest of the time. You just need to balance it carefully! I've given it a good clean and fitted a new drive belt, so it's probably good for another 25 years service. Thanks for reading.

50cm (19") screen Freeview Toshiba television with power supply and remote control. It has an LCD screen, meaning that it's not as flat as today's LED flatscreens (and is considerably heavier!) The tele size including bezel and speakers is 53cm wide, 38cm high and 10cm deep. The stand adds 4cm to the height, and has a base size of 27cm wide by 25cm deep. Metal curtain pole for (up to) 5-sided bay window. Mounting brackets included, along with 36 "C" rings (for bay window use), 38 standard rings (for straight window use), and two decorative finials. Main pole is 73", bay pole sections are 16" and 3" long, Elbow joints are adjustable through 180 degrees. A few years old and it needs a clean, but the current price in Dunelm is £75 for the poles and £14 for the elbow joints (), so it's worth a bit of renovation time. Thanks for reading.

Mothercare high chair, in funky late-20th-century colour scheme. Removable tray, adjustable back and footrest, integrated safety harness. Text on the back says that is complies to 1988 fire regulations, so it isn't quite an antique... A gift from another Freegler, it has served us well for use by our grandson when he visits. Swiveling reclining lounge chair. Finished in black bonded leather which is pealing in places (see photos), and has suffered multiple maulings by the cat. Otherwise a serviceable seat though, which might do somebody a turn (no pun intended).
