Rubble (Sheriff Hutton YO60)
Expired
I've got a pile of rubble - broken bricks, mortar-ey bricks, broken mortar and concrete - that I need gone. It's perfect for subbases for patios or sheds, to firm up a boggy field entrance or to mend potholes in a gravel road. Come and get it (you'll need a wheelbarrow or you can borrow mine) or I might be able to drop it off.

Request:
2' by 2' by 2" concrete paving slabs (Sheriff Hutton YO60)
I'm re-arranging and extending some paving in my garden. The existing paving is these very large, very heavy 2 foot (610mm) square by 2 inch (50mm) thick concrete slabs - do you have any you don't need? Or there used to be a 2 foot by 1 foot size - those would do. I need four or five of the big ones - or the equivalent in smaller ones, or some combination of the two. New slabs come in metric sizes which don't fit with these - frustrating! - as to do the job, I'd need to buy a dozen new ones - and then throw away eight perfectly serviceable old ones. (And they're not easy to throw away - council tips don't really like you dumping masonry and rubble - loads of rules and limits). I'll come and collect whenever you like if you have some. Happy to lift them if need be, and I don't really care if they're old and dirty, as long as they're whole.

Jam jars (Sheriff Hutton YO60)
Expired
All my jam jars are full and I want to make some more jam to give away - and to clear some space in my freezer, that’s presently full of fruit.

Nokia 100 phone, blue, in full working order with charger (Sheriff Hutton YO60)
Gifted
A cute little blue phone, all working. It's on its way to being a 'feature phone', and it's able to use loads of languages (including Arabic). It was bought as a stopgap at an airport in Dubai after its predecessor was stolen, then replaced as soon as we got home. It does all the things phones did back in the day: phone calls, texts, a calendar and a range of games. It's got a radio and a torch. There's a mains charger and a pair of wired earphones with a mic (this is from before Bluetooth). Just needs a SIM. It's in pristine condition, hardly used. It's still got the sticky film on the display.

Nokia 1100 mobile phone, in full working order with charger (Sheriff Hutton YO60)

This has been in a drawer for a few years, but it still works! The battery is good and with a SIM in it does phone calls, texts and all the other things phones like this do, including playing Snake! It's got its original retail box, manual, mains charger and car charger. I think it was used for a couple of weeks back in the day, but it's in good condition if not quite perfect.

Medium-sized stainless steel pet bowls (Sheriff Hutton YO60)
Gifted
For medium sized pets. Or for pets of any size, with medium-sized appetites. Or, you know what, if you have a pet with a large appetite, they could come back for a second helping.... And - if you had a pet with only a small appetite, you don't actually have to fill the bowl, so it works there too. In fact, these will do the doing for just about any pet. I suppose gerbils and mice might struggle to climb out, but you could always provide a very small ladder... There are options, that's what I'm saying. Anyway, I have three: take one, two, or all of them as your need suggests. I did have a message from a lady who said that she'd like one, as the ceramic bowl she left by her front gate for the benefit of passing dogs kept getting broken, which I thought was a nice gesture. But she never followed up, so the dogs of wherever she lives are still going thirsty. Perhaps you'd like to provide water for passing dogs?
