These have been well-used and date back to the 1930s, ‘40s and 50’s. Found among a relative’s books. Could be of interest to a keen cook, to compare with today’s recipes!

I'm looking for a book by Lawrence McGahan. The title is Blackout - No Postcode and it was printed in 2009. It's about the writer's life, living in Clevedon during and just after WW2. I've looked on-line and it seems to be unavailable, and Clevedon library and Community Book shop don't have it. If anyone has a copy, it would be much appreciated.

Can anyone make use of these measures that I’ve accumulated from liquid detergents, which I no longer use? I don’t know if I can recycle these but I think they might have to go into landfill, which I’m trying to avoid.

These are from the RSPB and goldfinches love them. They are in the original brown paper bag but could be divided into smaller quantities.

I don’t use liquid detergents now so these are surplus to requirements. As they are plastic measures, it would be a shame to add them to landfill (not sure if they can be recycled). Hope they can be of use to someone.
