Free: Meccano (Balerno EH14) Gifted Quantity of very old Meccano pieces (probably from the late 1950’s), together with lots of instructions for things that can be made. However I have no idea if there are enough pieces to actually make anything in the instruction book. I also have no idea if these pieces can be used with more modern Meccano sets.

Free: Possible crafting materials? (Balerno EH14) Assorted materials which might be of use in crafting projects - full length curtain, curtain lining, some kind of fabric (blue - not exactly sure what it is), foam rectangles, white stuffing material.

Free: Floor standing lamp (Balerno EH14) Gifted Adjustable floor standing lamp with flexible head. It came from my Mother’s and I think she used it as a reading lamp but I’m not sure.

Free: Assorted Warhammer and related miniatures (Balerno EH14) Gifted A mixed selection of miniatures, mostly from Warhammer/Games Workshop. Around 100 in total. Some are fully painted, some partially, some not at all. A few still need assembly. They are associated with a variety of different games from different eras.

Free: Two foldable camping/garden chairs (Balerno EH14) Gifted Two green foldable chairs for camping or other outdoor use, includes covers. Quite old but only lightly used, and still in good condition.

Free: DIY Stuff (Balerno EH14) Gifted Box of assorted random DIY tools/supplies. Includes sandpaper, plaster, screws, nails, plastering trowel, wall plugs, mallet, tapes, etc. All equipment used but part boxes of new screws, nails etc of all sizes.

Free: BaByliss Home Haircutting System (Balerno EH14) Gifted Chrome Mains Clipper Set with attachments. Not been used for a long time but still works as far as I can tell.

Free: Desktop PC without hard drive (Balerno EH14) Gifted Tower-style desktop PC including motherboard, CPU, CD ROM and floppy drives, but without any hard drive. Also includes power cable and two keyboards. It dates from some time before 2010.

Free: Frontier: Elite 2 PC game (CD) (Balerno EH14) Gifted CD ROM version of Frontier: Elite 2 for PC, in original box and with manuals etc. Published in 1993, would need some effort to make it work on a modern PC.

Free: Sinclair ZX Spectrum 48k (Balerno EH14) Gifted Sinclair ZX Spectrum from around 1982 in original box, with cables and manuals. No tape recorder, which would be needed to play the games. It hasn’t been tested, so we can’t say if it still works or not.

Free: Homebrew Barrel (Balerno EH14) Gifted King Keg Homebrew barrel with tap. Capacity is probably around 25 litre. The tap leaks when the contents are pressurised and will need a new washer, or a replacement tap.

Free: Soft Toys (Balerno EH14) Gifted Soft toys in good condition (they have never belonged to children). WARNING - only the masked cat (?) has a safety label (from Baby Gap) so not suitable for small children.

Free: Comics (Balerno EH14) Gifted Six random assorted comics, probably from the 1980s. Reasonable but not pristine condition.

Free: Sewing box (Balerno EH14) Gifted Useful small sewing box for storing all those sewing bits and bobs. Contents would need replenishing but contains plenty of needles, bobbins of cotton (some part used) buttons etc.

Free: Two wine racks (Balerno EH14) Expired Two wine racks of different sizes, wine bottles for illustration purposes only (though are available if wanted). There is a foot missing from the larger one but this doesn’t seem to affect balance.

Free: Croquet set (Balerno EH14) Gifted Four player croquet set, fits in box shown. Never used so in excellent condition. Playing rules also included.

Free: Puzzle books (Balerno EH14) Gifted Collection of puzzle books. They are quite old but I guess puzzles are largely timeless. I never got round to doing them and I’m sure there are puzzle addicts out there who could make good use of them.

Free: Picnic/Beach mats (Balerno EH14) Gifted Three picnic/beach mats. Two are 188cm x 70cm and one slightly smaller at 168cm x 61cm. They roll up as shown for easy transportation.

Free: Batman figure (Balerno EH14) Expired Plastic Batman figure, 30cm high. I think it came originally containing shampoo or shower gel but has been used as an ornament for many years. Movable arms and unscrews at the waist to reveal container.

Free: Soft toys (Balerno EH14) Expired Quantity of soft toys. Quite old and therefore do not have safety labels required for donation to charity shops. Still lots of play left in them though.

Free: Humax PVR-9300T Digital Recorder (Balerno EH14) Gifted Humax PVR-9300T Digital Personal recorder, including remote and original instructions. Not been used for a long time but it appears to be in good condition and as far as I can tell it is in working order.

Free: Warhammer Fantasy Battle 3rd edition rule books (Balerno EH14) Gifted Softcover version of the third edition Warhammer Fantasy Battle rulebook, and the Warhammer Armies companion book, both from 1991, published by Games Workshop. They are in somewhat poor condition; many of the pages have come loose from the binding, but they are believed to be complete.

Free: Eagle comics, 1989-1992 (Balerno EH14) Gifted A collection of approximately 100 Eagle (later ‘The New Eagle’) comics from April 1989 to February 1992. Initially a weekly comic, later became monthly. Features Dan Dare, Storm Force and others. In mixed condition, but most still seem ok.

Free: 2000 AD / Judge Dredd comics (Balerno EH14) Gifted A run of 2000 AD comics featuring Judge Dredd (and other stories) from August 1990 to July 1991. There may be some issues missing. Most are in decent condition, but not pristine; they have probably been read only once, and have been in storage for many years.

Free: Binoculars (Balerno EH14) Gifted Large Tasco binoculars, with box and carry case with strap. 12 x 50 mm. Weighs over 1 kg - too heavy for me.

Free: Toy Vehicles (Balerno EH14) Gifted A quantity of extremely old and battered toy vehicles, Matchbox, Dinky etc. My Grandson played endlessly with them for many years, the condition of them didn’t bother him. Still lots of play left in them.

Free: Travel books (Balerno EH14) Expired Variety of travel books, mostly Lonely Planet/Rough Guide. NOT recent editions so information on recommended accommodation and price guidelines will be out of date but details of sightseeing and places worth visiting should still be relevant.

Free: Bath/paddling pool toys (Balerno EH14) Expired A variety of ducks, boats etc. suitable for playing in bath or paddling pool. Quite old but still lots of play left in them.
