Request: old style schwartz spice jars (Fords Farm RG31) Schwartz changed the shape of their jars some time ago and the new ones in the shops do not fit in my racks. Had I anticipated that, I would not have thrown my empty jars in the recycling bin as they became empty!

Free: collection of 25kg plastic bags (Fords Farm RG31) Originally contained salt for a water softener... very strong plastic. (not recycleable?) Can anyone make use of them?

Free: 4 door pull handles (Fords Farm RG31) PLEASE NOTE Just the handles. No internal mechanism. It should be possible to drill holes in the backplate to attach one to, for example, a shed door or side gate... or even an cupboard door? PLEASE NOTE The bar in the photos is probably NOT from these handles but was in the same bag so, if useful to you, please take it too.

Free: A gift pack of 2 pomanders (Fords Farm RG31) Reposted after several requests that were not followed up. PLEASE NOTE the description: Label says SCENTED Pomanders but the scent is neither identified nor detectable any more! A few drops of lavender oil or similar could give them a new lease of life perhaps? It seems a shame to 'bin' them....

Free: RCD circuit breaker (Fords Farm RG31) Gifted Old, originally used with lawnmower and hedge trimmer in case the cable was run over! (Instantly cuts power if an earth connection leakage is detected) Not been needed since my new consumer board was installed so can't guarantee it is still working.

Free: Balance bike (Fords Farm RG31) Received from a freegler some time ago for my grandson but no longer being used. Tyres are getting a bit soft but otherwise in good condition. My standard bike pump attachment did not fit but Halfords pumped them up for me last time air was needed so I didn't bother to purchase one :-)

Free: curtain track gliders (pack of 20+) (Fords Farm RG31) If you recognise these because you have a curtain track with this exact type of glider they will be very useful as spares. They may possibly fit a very old Swish track but do not fit any of my tracks ...... nor the 3ft 6ins track also on offer here.

Free: plastic curtain track (Fords Farm RG31) 3ft 6ins (107cms) long. Has fittings for screwing to the wall and both end stops but NO HOOKS.

Free: Snow and ice shoe grips - UK size 4-7 (Fords Farm RG31) Gifted Worn once. Fit over your shoes - UK size 4-7. Has studs on soles to provide added grip in ice (and snow, should we get more this winter!)

Request: small bedside unit (Fords Farm RG31) I have this old dark wood bedside unit. I need another, similar and no deeper than 16ins (41cm), for the other side of my bed so that I can still open both storage drawers in the bed base! I have looked online to buy 2nd hand but no luck. It's a very long shot I know, but is anyone replacing something like this with a newer one? Even happy to take a PAIR of a different design, if the size is right, and I will then freegle this one. Thank you!

Free: Collection of badges (Fords Farm RG31) Gifted 8 'name' / logo badges and pins. Could be recycled by attaching paper labels over the original logos. Destined for the tip unless someone can find a use for them. The blood donor badges come with boxes which could also be repurposed separately.

Free: 2 lamp shades for table lamps (Fords Farm RG31) Gifted Colour: terracotta colour 'fabric feel' on plastic. 9ins high. (22.86cms.) Holder is low down so the shades will accommodate quite tall bulbs.

Request: a small piece of 'wood' to make a shelf (Fords Farm RG31) Withdrawn I need an offcut of 'wood' - Veneered/ coated chipboard? (don't know what it is called) to make a shelf for my laptop (I have changed from a tower PC to a laptop and wifi keyboard. I only need a piece about 17.5 ins (44.45cm) x10.5ins (26.67cm) and all I can find online comes MUCH larger pieces! Has anyone got something suitable lying around in the garage or shed that I could repurpose please? Can't recycle the tower unit until I have a shelf! :-) Thanks.

Free: Various curtain hooks and rings (Fords Farm RG31) Gifted Metal curtain rings - 2 sizes Plastic curtain hooks for rufflette tape - DO NOT FIT the curtain track also offered today. Curtain gliders (also known as curtain track runners). Could fit a Swish rail (but not the track also offered today). Ideally all to go together please as none of them fit the tracks currently in my house!

Free: 7 screw-top glass jars - ideal for jam or chutney (Fords Farm RG31) Gifted All have plastic lids so ideal for home made jam, or chutney (which contains vinegar, which damages metal lids). I am offering them, hoping for their re-use rather than just putting them in the glass recycling bin.

Free: Wooden carver chair in need of restoration (Fords Farm RG31) Gifted It is structurally solid except for the seat insert, which warped because I accidentally I left the chair outside in a long period of rain. When I inherited it from my parents the seat had been repaired with plywood and the whole thing painted with white glosss paint and it looked lovely. I took it back inside planning to restore it but sadly no longer have the enthusiasm or energy. Would someone else like restore it to its former glory... please?

Free: selection of zipped pouches etc (Fords Farm RG31) Gifted Take the ones you want or take all. Plain grey/ blue one originally held hard contact lens solutions. Patterned grey one originally held cosmetics. Red one originally held some mini tools. No longer needed but it seems a shame to put them in the bin.

Free: Bible and 2 books of Common Prayer (Fords Farm RG31) Gifted These are in very poor condition but no longer have sentimental or historical value for me or my family so they will probably end up being taken apart and put in the recycling bin on my next collection day (7th Nov). Offering here in the meantime in case anyone can find another use for them.

Free: 2 pyrex casserole dishes with lids (Fords Farm RG31) Gifted Brown one is 8.5 ins diameter and clear one is 7.5ins diameter. The clear one has clouded after being washed too in a dishwasher over many years. Still perfectly useable but now surplus to my requirements.

Free: 2 old Lonely Planet books - India and Thailand (Fords Farm RG31) Gifted Covers have been lost. Both are 2021 editions but still provide good discussion and starting points for planning your next long haul trip!

Free: Rubberbacked doormat (Fords Farm RG31) Gifted The top surface is very worn so the mat has been replaced for safety reasons. The rubber back is still in good condition so it seems a shame to 'bin' it. Can anyone give the old mat a new life somewhere else, perhaps upside down? :-)

Free: Electric fire (Fords Farm RG31) Gifted Old and a bit dusty. Some rusting on the reflector plate so possibly not suitable for use in a living area. The original cable was replaced not long ago, so it's now safe to use. Has been used since then in a garage/ workshop but just no longer needed.

Free: Vintage soldering iron and solder (Fords Farm RG31) Gifted Tested (see pic 2) and still working. Fine point designed for work on small items e.g. radios. Received it from an other Freeegler for a one-off job. No longer needed. Solder included.

Free: 2 grey plastic bins (with lids) (Fords Farm RG31) Gifted Dimension: 50cms x 40cms x 30cms. Bins are intact but the lids, which are removable, are both slightly damaged (see photos). Need a thorough clean but still have plenty of life in them.

Free: 2 jugs and 1 single-cup teapot (or coffee pot) (Fords Farm RG31) Gifted All perfectly useable and initially boxed up with other items for a charity shop but on reflection they would probably just be chucked. The glass jug is clouded from being cleaned in the dishwasher and the brown jug has a chip just below the lip (still fine for use as vase!) I have plenty of other jugs to use so can anyone give these a new home?

Hurston Hopkins: Old English Mills and Inns ** H. G. Wells: Country of the Blind Also a VERY old hardback poetry book - (see pic 3 for the 1926 inscription by a previous owner!) No loose pages. All text unmarked throughout book except for a vertical PENCIL line against couple of verses in one (or two?) poems. Prefer all to go as one lot but requests for individual books will be considered.

Charity shops or libraries would probably just pulp it. Would anyone on here like it? No loose pages. All text unmarked throughout book except for a vertical PENCIL line against couple of verses in one (or two?) poems. Spine repaired for photo 3.

Free: 3 pairs of 'walking' socks (Fords Farm RG31) Gifted My hiking days are over. Bought with size 6 boots but I always found them a bit tight so probably better for a size 5 foot! Clean and rarely worn.
