Request: G clamps (for carpentry) (Havant PO9) Looking for a couple of these, old ones at the back of the shed would be ideal. Doesn't matter if they are rusty as long as the threads can still turn. They need to have at least six-inch Jaws as I need to grip two fence posts. Thanks in advance!

Request: Chives (Havant PO9) Received Bunch of chives wanted. I am growing herbs in pots and the chives did not come up. If you have a good clump, can I have a wedge with roots and bulbs please. I am in Langstone and Hayling. Thanks in advance.

Request: Keep for yale-type lock (Havant PO9) Withdrawn This is the metal receptacle that screws to the doorframe, and the lock latches into it when closed. I do not think the design or particular brand matters. Hoping someone has changed their door or lock and not thrown it away yet Can collect Hayling, or southern parts of Havant. Thanks in advance!

Free: Hardy Yucca logs (Havant PO9) Gifted these are sections of the trunk of my Yucca plants. They can be grown in a (large) pot indoors but do best in the garden. The piece of log is planted in moist soil or compost and will take root and grow long, thin, green leaves. It will survive the winter and by next year will have rooted enough to need no protection from snow or sun. They can grow about a foot a year. Mine have grown over some years to about ten feet. They look rather like a palm tree with a bushy head of leaves at the top. Old leaves can be pulled off the stem when they go brown with age. Branches can be used for cuttings. More stems come from the base so you can have several trees if you want. Mine are four to six inches thick at the base. The stem does not go woody so they benefit from being against a wall so the wind doesn't bend them. ** please note they are available again in July 2026. The "no longer available" note relates to the last batch, several years ago. It seems to have stayed when I repeated the offer. I don't know how to remove it. **

Request: Cordless Drill (no batteries required) (Havant PO9) Received I am looking for a drill whose batteries are dud, that you would be thinking of taking to the recycling tip. This is to use on a boat, where we can wire it to the boat's battery supply. This is quite easy to do, but the old tool is worn out. We don't need the original drill batteries. 12v or 18v or thereabouts will be fine. Thanks in advance!

Free: Shreddings (Havant PO9) Expired I have a large amount of shredded prunings, mostly from bay trees. I usually compost them or use as a dry mulch to suppress weeds and slowly rot into the soil, but this year I have more than I need. Mostly shredded twigs and leaves, no large wood in it. Not diseased or weedy. Collect Langstone. Bring your own fork and bags.
