The first time an elderly cat urinated on this, when it was new, I washed it, by marching on it in the bath – not realising that it would take ages to dry out and that there was a danger it would rip apart under its own weight when wet. It’s happened again, after some years, and I’ve decided I have neither the time nor the energy to deal with it, and have bought another one. BUT the cat has only wet one corner, so even if you’re not prepared to clean the whole thing, you could cut the soiled piece away and make the topper fit a smaller mattress. I’ve also got some large cushions from a three-piece suite – the sofa and the chairs have gone, but the cushions had been re-filled and the new foam is clean and in good condition. Can deliver.

Pieces of metal mesh, please, with small holes, but the more and the larger the better, so they can be fitted together if necessary – to keep leaves out of water tanks and rats out of compost sbins.
