Im looking for any tapestry wool that needs a new home. I am hosting some tapestry classes to raise money for a charity called Fine Cell Work. We will be making the starter items that their volunteers teach the new stitchers who engage in their programme while in prison or the post-release programme. Im looking for all things embroidery related; hoops, threads, needles etc as I want to host a workshop in February 2025 in Stow to raise money and awareness for Fine Cell Work. Its an incredible charity that teaches people in prison and post release, to create using stitching. Thats needlework, embroidery, patchwork, quilting etc. I need to start gathering materials to use at the workshop and to put in the 'party bag' attendees take away with them. Does anyone have an embroidery hoop they no longer use/want? I want to take up embroidery and use it to darn over some holes in some precious old items that are too good to throw away. There is a lot of instruction on the www but any equipment or books would be so helpful. I want to use my summer holiday to learn as I will not have any distractions.
