Free: vintage desk with 5 drawers (Central Liverpool L1) Gifted Hi, This item is offered to genuine Freaglers who want it for their use and not for resale purposes. I've had this desk for about 45-years or so and I'm sorry to see it go but needs must. The desk base is probably 1940`s - 1960`s vintage. The top was ruined (left outside in the rain - no Freagling back then) so was replaced in the 1970 ́s. With some TLC (sanding and varnishing) it could likely be restored to a good condition. The desk appears to have 6-drawers but one is designed to appear as two. There are two leaves that pull out to provide more working space. The top screws off so the desk can be moved intact or in two pieces as required. Desk is approximately 54" wide x 29" deep x 28" high. The bookcase is approximately 218 cm tall x 72 cm wide x 39 cm deep (with a 40 cm base). The successful Freagler will either need a very strong roof rack or ideally a van as this weighs quite a bit (one of Ikea's better and stronger units). The stacking inserts allow 2 rows of books to be stacked with the spines visible for both (the ones at the back less so of course). Currently sitting in the hall so getting good pictures wasn't easy and these are the best available.
