Free: Artemis Fowl story tapes (Roseburn EH12) 13 cassettes - the first 3 books from the popular Artemis Fowl series by Eoin Colfer: Artemis Fowl, Artemis Fowl and the Arctic Incident, Artemis Fowl and the Eternity Code. These are action-packed adventures that we all really enjoyed. We recorded them from the CDs to listen to in the car on long journeys. Haven't played them for ages but they were fine the last time we listened to them.

Free: Small boxes (Roseburn EH12) A collection of small boxes, mostly from jewellery. To give an idea of size, the red one is 15cm long.

Free: Cardboard tubes (Roseburn EH12) A bundle of cardboard tubes in various sizes - the largest is 120cm long x 10cm diameter. Some of these are quite old, others as new. Lots of potential uses (e.g. crafting, storing posters, toys for pets) so posting them on here in case anyone wants them, rather than just recycling them.

Free: Private Eye magazines (Roseburn EH12) Gifted This is a set of Private Eye satirical magazines from 2024 (26 issues) - full of informative and entertaining articles about events at that time.

Free: Shoulder pads (Roseburn EH12) 4 pairs of unused shoulder pads from tops I used to have - they've been lying in a drawer for ages. (Pen is there to show sizes.) Are these of use to anyone?

Free: Outdoor magazines (Roseburn EH12) Gifted 26 assorted copies of "Climber & Rambler", mostly from the mid to late 1970s - interesting articles about places, people and equipment of the time.

Free: Assorted small toys (Roseburn EH12) Gifted This is a small box full of bits and pieces that my kids are clearing out - includes various little toys, fluffy bugs, fancy pencils, and novelty items.

Free: Noticeboard (Roseburn EH12) Gifted 2 small noticeboards, 40cm x 60cm. Cork backing with red material on the front; wooden frame with 3 plates for fixing to the wall - fixings not included. Used by our children but in reasonable clean condition (one has faint marks from stickers on frame).

Free: Hanging Files (Roseburn EH12) Gifted Cardboard hanging files, A4 size, with plastic strip for labelling. Can be linked together by poppers at the top.

Free: Battery charger (Roseburn EH12) Gifted This is a Hama Delta 2/4 charger, for NiMH or NiCd AA batteries. Can be used for 2 or 4 batteries at once. Instructions included. This hasn't been used for several years and we assume it still works but unfortunately can't test it, as we don't have any rechargeable batteries now.

Free: Party stuff (Roseburn EH12) Gifted A selection of things for kids' parties - 6 party hats, 8 party bags, assorted party blowers, streamers. This is all unused, left over from parties we had ages ago.

Free: German language tapes (Roseburn EH12) Gifted Reader's Digest "At Home With German" learning tapes - a set of 16 cassettes plus introduction and a guide book. I haven't tested the tapes recently but they worked the last time they were played.

Free: freezer drawers (Roseburn EH12) Gifted 4 drawers from our old freezer - very good condition. They measure 39cm square at the top, 40cm wide at the runners, and 14cm high. I kept them because I planned to make a storage unit with them, but it turns out that the unit would be too big for the space available. Maybe someone else can make use of them?

Free: Assorted houseplants (Roseburn EH12) Gifted Various houseplants, grown from cuttings or offsets from larger plants. 12" ruler for scale. 1 - kalanchoe (red flowers in spring) 2 - purple tradescantia (quite big) 3 - variegated ivy 4 - variegated tradescantia 5 - aloe 6 - mother of thousands (grows baby plantlets on the edges of its leaves)

Free: lengths of floorboard (Roseburn EH12) Gifted Assorted pieces of new floorboards left over from building work. There are 2 styles and various lengths: grooved - 67cm, 83cm, 115cm, 132cm, 168cm plain - 108cm, 253cm, 282cm

Free: Magazines (Roseburn EH12) Gifted A collection of recent charity magazines, including Historic Scotland, National Museums Scotland, Practical Action, Woodland Trust, National Trust for Scotland. Lots of interesting articles and some great photos.

Free: Old net curtain (Roseburn EH12) Gifted This is a big net curtain, measuring 2m tall x 2.7m wide. It's quite old and has a couple of holes in it, but might be useful for a ghost costume at Halloween?

Free: Cuttings from houseplants (Roseburn EH12) Gifted I've been pruning some houseplants - would anyone like some of these cuttings? They are tradescantia and lemon-scented geranium. I've put them in water and they usually grow roots pretty quickly, but I don't have space just now to grow them.

Free: Foreign brochures (Roseburn EH12) Expired Assorted tourist information brochures from countries including Austria, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Norway, Slovenia, and Spain - various ages, with general information and some great photos. Thought I'd offer them here rather than just throwing them in the recycling, in case someone wants them for interest, planning, or crafting.

Free: Carpet offcuts (Roseburn EH12) Expired Brand new, clean carpet offcuts - mostly blue, some green and a small amount of pale purple. Before we take it to the tip, we wondered if any of it might be of use to someone!

Free: picture frames (Roseburn EH12) Gifted 5 old picture frames, all wooden - good upcycling project? The dark blue one and light blue one have glass, but the 3 cream ones don't. The dark blue one measures 19.5cm x 14.5cm; the cream ones are 17cm x 12cm; the light blue one is 17.5cm x 12.5 cm (overall sizes).

Free: Toy cars (Roseburn EH12) Gifted Assorted toy cars and a mnotorbike, plus some roadworks accessories and people - all to go as one lot. Some of the cars are well-used and a bit worn, and others are quite new.

Free: Lemon geranium plants (Roseburn EH12) Gifted These are cuttings from a larger plant. The leaves smell of lemon. They are all rooted and growing but are a bit leggy - if you trim the tops off, they will branch and get more bushy.

Free: Dried flowers and grasses (Roseburn EH12) Gifted A bagful of dried flowers, grasses, teasels, poppy heads and a few spruce cones, for floral arrangements.

Free: Toy rabbit (Roseburn EH12) Expired Maybe this rabbit would look good in an Easter decoration? It's about 20cm tall, soft and furry. It used to hop around (battery-operated) but sadly doesn't work any more. (Note: The outside is soft, but it's not a squashy cuddly toy.)

Free: Doll (Roseburn EH12) Gifted This doll was mine when I was wee, and later my children played with her and unfortunately her head was damaged - so we replaced the head. Now it's time for her to move on to someone else!
