Free: Rosa glauca plants (Surrenden BN1) Gifted These are two small saplings. The second and third photos show the pink flowers in spring and the rose hips in autumn. This is a species rose, loved by wildlife and will grow into a large bush. It has very spiky stems, so probably not great for a household with toddlers or young animals? Please let me know a day and approximate time of pick up so I can leave on the drive for you.

Free: Water lily corm (Surrenden BN1) Gifted Reposting due to no show. This is one large water corm. Not sure if it will be a pale pink or a darker pink as when divided, there weren’t any flowers (the flowers shown are from last year). The corm will need planting in a pond basket. It is currently in a bucket and you will need to bring your own bucket to transfer the lily and the pond water. These plants are best for medium to large ponds, not small or shallow ponds. If planted correctly it will give you wonderful blooms every year, and is a great oxygenator to keep your pond clear, and attracts lots of wildlife. It comes from a pond that has never had any form of chemical added. If you are interested, please let me know which day you can collect as I don’t want to leave it in the hot sun for too long. Thank you

Free: Pond plants, just water lily now (Surrenden BN1) Withdrawn We have divided our water lilies and have one large corm to give away. Also some roots of the water hawthorn came up, so they are in a container too. I’ve shown a photo of them in our pond, but you will need to plant them up in pond baskets and weigh down with stones. Lilies are best in fairly deep and large ponds but the water hawthorn are fine for small ponds. Please let me know which ones you want. The lilies need to be transferred to your own bucket but please leave my grey bucket behind! The hawthorn can be taken away in the small container it’s in now. I may be delayed in replying as I’m busy in the next few days but if you tell me when you can pick up, I’ll leave the containers on the driveway.

Free: Various pieces of useable wood (Surrenden BN1) Gifted Clearing our shed and have picked out wood that is in reasonable quality and could be used again. Some look like shelving, some good for other projects. If you are interested, please let me know a day you can come, then we can leave it on our drive for you to pick and choose. I may not reply immediately so please be patient. Thanks

Free: Two small holly plants. (Surrenden BN1) Withdrawn Standard native Holly (not variegated). These have rooted last year and now ready to plant out. Will eventually make a medium sized tree. Can grow in large pot but do better in the ground.

Free: Garden Mint plants, 3 varieties (Surrenden BN1) Gifted I have various mint plants ready for planting out. There are 2 Moroccan, 2 spearmint and 3 peppermint. Please tell me which ones you want and (important) when you can collect. I will leave them on the drive for you. Just two peppermint left now (as long as the pick-ups happen)

Free: 4 fence posts and 3 lengths of chain (Surrenden BN1) Expired These posts and chain have been at the side of our drive for many years. They are sturdy and the chain has never rusted. Should be more years of life in them. There’s some concrete on the bottom of some, but this shouldn’t be a problem as you will need to concrete them in to their new place. Maybe good for a border of garden or allotment?

Free: Hardwood decking boards (Surrenden BN1) Gifted We have pulled up our hardwood decking, from an area of about 26 sq.m. Not all the boards came up easily but most of them did. They are actually in good condition and definitely got many years life in them. They are high quality sustainably sourced hardwood so you will need strong tools to cut them. All different sizes. One side is smooth and the other side is ridged. The photo doesn’t look great as it has been rainy, but once laid, you should get a decent and hard-wearing deck. You will need a large estate car or van to transport. I will leave it a few days before replying, to give everyone a fair chance. Priority given to those who want all of it and give precise pick up time.

Free: Engineered oak flooring (Surrenden BN1) Gifted We are re-flooring our hallway, kitchen and dining area. This is high quality engineered oak flooring in excellent condition, around 29 sq. metres. It is great for underfloor heating but will work for any floor. The tiler will start pulling it up tomorrow (Jan2nd) and hopefully there won’t be much damage, but perhaps about 25 or 26 sq.m will be useable? It may be ready for collection by the weekend, but if you are interested I will let you know.

Free: Euphorbia mellifera seedlings (Surrenden BN1) Gifted This is a large architectural shrub when fully grown. Quite a tropical feel but is also evergreen. In summer it has honey scented flowers. I have some small seedlings to give away (3 left now)Even if you have a small garden, it will grow happily in a large pot (3rd photo) but mine hasn’t flowered yet. Please state how many you want and when you will pick up, so I can leave on the drive for you.

Free: Water lily (Surrenden BN1) Gifted We divided our water lilies a few weeks ago and there is one left that needs a new home. Has grown good roots now so needs putting in a pond basket and weighing down with stones. It may be either the light pink or the dark pink as we have both (see second photo)

Free: Water lilies (Surrenden BN1) Gifted We have divided our water lilies and have several pieces of corm that can be planted into aquatic pots. Please note, the photos are what they look like in summer. As they haven’t flowered yet, I can’t tell if they are the light pink, dark pink, or even yellow, as we have all three colours. Your pond will need to be medium/large size and pretty deep. If you plant them properly they reward you with fantastic blooms every summer. Please bring your own bucket. You can transfer the corms with some pond water from my containers, but please leave my containers behind. Thanks.

Free: Rosa glauca plants (Surrenden BN1) Gifted I have one large and two smaller cuttings. All well rooted. The other photos show the parent bush at different times. It’s quite a large bushy rose with dark pink flowers in summer and large red hips in autumn. It needs quite a lot of room. Also has sharp thorns, so not good with small children!
