Free: Maths Text-books (Berry Lane Estate WD3) Gifted I have a large quantity of Maths textbooks collected during a teaching career which finished nearly 20 years ago. They are for secondary pupils, going up to O-level/GCSE and to A-level. Although not aligning with current syllabi, I imagine that the content hasn't changed greatly; any surplus topics could act as enrichment for an enthusiastic pupil. You would need to see them and make a selection; I don't expect one person to take them all!
Free: Old Vinyl records - classical (Berry Lane Estate WD3) Gifted Note these are all classical but contain some famous names - Klemperer, Barenboim, box set of St Matthew Passion, Beethoven piano concertos and symphonies etc
Free: Newspapers (Berry Lane Estate WD3) Expired I have dozens of old newspapers saved from recycling in case anyone can use them. Any takers?
Free: Dressing Gown (Berry Lane Estate WD3) Expired Lands End classify this as a "towelling bath robe". (). It's navy blue, size S. I wanted a cotton, warm dressing gown but I found this rather heavy and preferred something with buttons. (If you can't find it on the website, it's a wrap-type.) It has been used and my cat has pulled some threads, I'm afraid.
Request: 6-pint plastic milk bottles (Berry Lane Estate WD3) Received If anyone uses these, could you save some from the recycling, please? I use them for collecting "run-off" water and also rain water from the butts. Now that I have a back problem, I can't carry the 5-litre ones which I have also used in the past.
Free: Pressure Cooker (for use on a gas hob) (Berry Lane Estate WD3) Expired This is old, need not be used with the weights, the pan is large (8 inch, probably about 4.5 litres) and holds three separate containers, two perforated, so you can cook/steam three items separately in the same water, surely an economy. However, the base is not flat enough to use on an electric plate so it needs a gas hob. The pan can be used on its own, of course, without the separators or the weights; I think my husband last used it for jam making. Used with the weights, there is some leakage but it still shortens cooking time (I tested it with green lentils) by a considerable amount.
Free: Jug (Berry Lane Estate WD3) Expired Plastic, American so marked in quarts, full volume about 2 litres. Old, has been used in the wine-making process, I think, so has some marks on the outside and age-related yellowing on the inside. Has been useful because of its size but now I'm trying to clear some clutter!
Free: Old pressure cooker (Berry Lane Estate WD3) Expired One for use on a gas hob. It leeks a bit, perhaps needs a new rubber ring, but I've still used it satisfactorily. It will cook green lentils in about 2.5 minutes, with already boiling water. It has dividers so you can cook more than one item, or it could simply be used as a large saucepan. About 21cm diameter, 13cm deep.
Free: Egg Boxes (Berry Lane Estate WD3) Gifted I have 20 egg boxes (for 6 eggs); can anyone use them, if not for eggs, then for craft projects, perhaps?
Free: Christmas lights (Berry Lane Estate WD3) Gifted This is a long shot as none are working, but this may be easily solved by someone with more practical expertise and patience than I have! 1. Vintage Osram lights used for Christmas tree (12). These go back to the '50s and are multi-coloured. I have no idea if spare bulbs can still be obtained for them (there are a couple of spares in the box) and of course, they are not LED. 2. Vintage Chinese lantern, about 6 inches high, though tassels hang lower. The fitting is one to be plugged into a light bulb socket in a lamp. However, it's quite pretty without a light in it and folds for storage. 3. Pifco mini-lights (20), bought within the last 10 years. No idea why they aren't working and probably designed to be thrown out rather than mended. (Interesting that number 1 lasted happily for decades and these modern ones gave up after about 3 years!) I'm afraid my technical knowledge doesn't run to attaching a photo here but would be able to do this for anyone who is genuinely interested, if you give me a mobile phone number.

Free: "Skins" for skis (Berry Lane Estate WD3) Expired I thought I had cleared all of my husband's old skiing things but have found some "skins" for attaching to skis, when skiing uphill, I think. (He did a lot of ski-mountaineering years ago.) The bag is labelled Montana Adhesive ski-skins and there is also some "adhesive to re-coat self adhesive skins." I am not a skier and have no idea whether they are still used, or whether these are completely out of date now. But you are welcome to them!
