Request: Piece of hardwood (Epsom KT18) Does anyone have a piece of oak or similar knocking around in their garage or shed? We would like to replace a seat on a rusted iron bench and it would need to be 41 x 21” and at least an inch thick.
Free: Laura Ashley curtains (Epsom KT18) Gifted These are a few years old now but still have lots of life in them. The pink check fabric is substantial, not just plain cotton, and they were made for a window 160 cm H x 135cm W. They are really full when gathered up and very pretty with the frill. They are slightly faded on the opening edge and I spotted a couple of felt pen spots earlier, but only small.

Free: Floral curtains KT18 (Epsom KT18) Gifted They were made for a window 45” wide and 51” tall including frames. They were made from Laura Ashley country furnishing cotton for a little girls bedroom by a local expert and have hand stitched pleats in the top. (There’s not heading tape to gather them up). The lining has yellowed but that can’t be seen. Dry cleaned. Listed on one other site.

Free: Selection of swim goggles (Epsom KT18) Expired I do not know how we have so many goggles for the kids! I’ve thrown away some but these are still usable. The plastic has discoloured though. I thought they might be useful spares for a swimming club. Any takers?

Free: IKEA white glass wall light (Epsom KT18) Expired A plug in wall light from IKEA a good few years ago. It’s white glass and needs a screw in bulb. The silver colour has deteriorated on the main bar but it’s OK around the light. It can be put on the wall anywhere and can be plugged into an electricity socket below.

Free: Original Victorian shutters (Epsom KT18) Gifted These shutters are from the kitchen in our Victorian house built in 1865. They are W119 x H162cm. In the photos you can see them closed with the security bar. The central panels open out and then the y fold over once more and used to be housed in a recess in the window which sadly was too rotten to pass on. The last photo shows the results of a very quick clean. We stripped them 20+ years ago and I think will clean up very nicely.

Free: Various revision guides (Epsom KT18) Gifted There’s very little of my daughter’s writing in these. Most I think are completely blank. I would be happiest splitting them between a few people so if you only want one or two let me know and I will update the post as they are taken.

Free: Glass topped dining table (Epsom KT18) Gifted This glass topped table was a much loved main kitchen table until we extended and could fit in something bigger. It came from habitat and the glass top just sits on the metal frame. The glass is sandblasted on the bottom and polished on the top and there are a few wear and tear scratches on it. Mats need to be used to avoid scratches. The metal base is lightweight but is starting to rust. With a sand and repaint in hammer rite this would be a brilliant table for someone. It seats 4 easily but we regularly had six around it including two children. I’m really hoping it can avoid landfill. It’s my last ditch chance! 117cm wide x 75cm height

Free: Curved pieces of beech (Epsom KT18) Gifted Before these go in the bin I wondered if they would be of any use to anyone. They were made to be rockers that could be added to some doll beds to turn them into cradles that I had made in Bavaria for my business a few years ago. They are 42cm long.

Free: Various items from shed clean out (Epsom KT18) Gifted Wasn’t sure if any of these would be of interest but I thought I would try and limit how much gets thrown. At least 8m of flexible underground 55 mm ducting pipe with one piece of 1.5m which is less flexible. I used it for my garden watering system pipes. Couple of bits of hose pipe A couple of empty tonne bags from deliveries of compost A pallet A piece of low picket fence used for edging

Free: John Lewis aluminium clothesline (Epsom, Ashley Road KT18) Gifted Does anyone fancy restringing this rotary clothesline from John Lewis (Jonelle) to keep it out of landfill? We haven’t used it for a few years and are clearing out the shed. Pesky mice have chewed through all the strings bar two! Being aluminium it’s really light weight, is very easy to put up and take down and won’t rust.
