Free: Two small wooden boxes (Springfield MK6) These nice little boxes contained crystallised ginger once, and since then I’ve tried to find odd uses for them as they seem too cute to dispose of - but frankly they are not really good for much, being quite shallow and with lids that just sit there loosely rather than being tight fitting. Anybody want to give them a home?

Free: Out of date catalogues for stamp collectors (Springfield MK6) See photograph - happy to split these or hand over the lot. NB if a stamp collector can confirm what I suspect - that these books are no use to anybody and may as well all go straight in the recycling - I’d be grateful if they’d let me know that rather than me feeling guilty about chucking something I I worry others might find a useful resource!

Free: Cardboard Boxes (Springfield MK6) Gifted Cardboard boxes that might be helpful for moving house: One very large, great for big but lightweight stuff. One that had a full length mirror inside, so it’s long and wide but not very deep. One that had a microwave in. One sturdy square one, recently had something damp laid across it (drying already since pic taken this morning), but might be useful for something heavy but fragile as it has a thick layer of polystyrene in bottom. Two much smaller boxes from trainers and a window vac. Some brown packaging paper . No need to take all if you don’t want, just ask.

Free: LAST CHANCE: Spacer for an inhaler. NB dates to 2006 (Springfield MK6) Withdrawn LAST CHANCE! I will withdraw this post and dispose of above on Tues 25th February. Found this in the back of a cupboard where it has been since our daughter decided she could manage without. It is for children (or adults) that struggle to inhale asthma medicine correctly using the inhaler alone. I would recommend you get this checked for efficiency before using, given its age, but hopefully it will serve well as a spare eg where parents share care across two homes. This is a simple mechanism and I don’t think much can go wrong with it, but if anyone ‘in the know’ thinks I should not be Freegling this then do feel free to message me.

Free: Laundry basket / large holey wastepaper bin (Springfield MK6) Gifted Has been well-used and very slightly discoloured, and now that it’s empty I see a small dent but it’s not obvious. No breaks and no areas that would catch woollens and we’d still be happy using it if I hadn’t another that fits more snugly behind our door.

Free: 3 x Sturdy boxes with packaging (Springfield MK6) Gifted Two 40 x 40cm double walled cardboard boxes, with plastic large-bubble packaging. These held large ceramic plant pots, which arrived safely despite boxes being slightly dented. Also one single wall 30 x 30 cardboard box with thick twisted paper packaging. I’ve been trying to load pics to no avail, so will post first and try adding photos after.

Free: Very large silver/green reverse tarpaulin (Springfield MK6) Gifted Photos include aerial one from when it covered gazebo to demonstrate size. Torn in a few places, and some of the eyeholes ripped away, but much of it is still very serviceable. At the very least this will do a great job in various guises on an allotment!

Free: 3 Hospital blankets (Springfield MK6) Gifted Available again following a cancelled collection. We were given these pale green blankets for my Dad to use at home but we prefer his own bedding. The blankets are not totally new, but are in very good condition and were laundered when we received them and I washed them again anyway. They are nice soft blankets, especially for the summer or in a warm room, as they are thin and light yet still have a comforting weight to them. One has a few small black marks and a single larger one (3x3cm see photo) which I think by the shape of it is from the rubber foot of some previously used equipment, perhaps a monitor. Please let me know your availability and I will leave bagged outside for collection.

Free: Wipe clean hospital pillow and slipcase (Springfield MK6) Gifted Photo to follow. Given to us by the hospital for my Dad to use at home, but we preferred our own bedding so not used (by us at any rate). Pillow slip was already clean but I have washed it anyway! Unfortunately I will probably dispose of it if there is no interest, just because of the ‘hospital’ association which I prefer to move on from, but I hope someone else can get over that and make good use, because if I’m honest it’s a damn sight cleaner than any of my own pillows!

Request: A working mouse (Springfield MK6) Expired Hello, my husband’s tracking pad has failed on his laptop so he keeps taking MY mouse that I use for my PC! I would appreciate any mouse wireless or wired I don’t mind as long as definitely working with no loose wires etc. Preferably not too long a drive from Springfield, but will consider all offers and will respond. Many thanks in advance!
Free: Carpet off cut (Springfield MK6) Expired Nice on the inside but bear in mind it has been in the garage for some years, and although it has been turned inward all the time, the white felt underside has got a little grubby from being walked on.

Free: 'Bronwen' dressing up traditional Welsh costume (Springfield MK6) Gifted Not sure of the size / age. Length of the dress is around 75cm with the shawl being longer c 85cm. It is a simple white cotton shift with the bottom half being a red woven fabric, with a velcro back fastening. The lace 'collar' has a daffodil brooch in it that we added later and unfortunately it has left a rust mark. There is a bonny apron and the long 'woolen' shawl either wraps around the front or can be held back as you see in the pictures. It was loosely protected in the garage but will need something to dispel the mustiness. I don't think I ever laundered it so cannot be sure whether it is colour fast (probably not!). Sadly the welsh bonnet did not survive. It is 20 odd years old.

Free: Garage clearance finds: items remaining (Springfield MK6) Expired Only some odds now remain: Two lovely ceramic lounge wall lamps (fittings removed entirely). < NB now promised. A 15+yo outdoor bulkhead style lamp. < NB Now promised. An 80s Rubics cube, a decent piece of beige mottled carpet - it’s an unused offcut still new inside but has been folded inward and left on the garage floor so the reverse has been trodden on plenty. Freegled separately with more pics. Gel padded bicycle seat cover never used but now 30 years old. One small artificial Xmas tree. A small black plastic grill for a vent, unused with fittings.

Request: 1m x 2m ‘wood’ vinyl offcut in one piece for loo (Springfield MK6) Expired Hello, our downstairs loo is quite small and I wondered if anybody had a wood- design vinyl offcut big enough to replace the two bits we have in there at the moment? Wood-style would be great to complement our laminate hallway but let’s see what you Freeglers have! Many thanks!
Free: Last chance for Books on computer programming (Springfield MK6) Expired I’m giving these another whirl before they go in recycling. See photo. Please get in touch if any of these might interest you. I suspect they are all too outdated to be of any interest, but let’s give them an airing before they go to be pulped!

Free: Last chance for old disk boxes. Heelands/Springfield (Springfield MK6) Gifted I’m giving these an airing before they go to landfill. They would be great for crafting, or small tool storage, anything. See photo - if anybody is interested I will happily provide more information. Can be collected from outside at Heelands (weather permitting), or Springfield if preferred

Free: Crystallised ginger unopened exp May 2024 (Springfield MK6) Gifted I love snacking on crystallised ginger but received three bags for Christmas so I am Freegling the largest bag. It’s delicious chopped into yoghurt, or for cookie or ginger loaf-baking. Or if you are like me you will wolf it down and regret it later! Great for travel sickness - although raw ginger would be better for your teeth and less calorific. 82% sugar. I’m not promoting this very well…

Free: Colourful neckties for collage/ dolls’ clothes/ patchwork (Springfield MK6) Gifted It seems a shame to dispose of these as there are some lovely patterns and colours. Polyester, cotton or viscose (no silk). Most are fairly wide, so each provides a decent bit of material for dolls house soft furnishings, or anything you can think of! They also still work as neck ties of course!

Free: Still available - clean Pillow Stuffing for crafting? (Springfield MK6) Expired I washed three pillows that had been in storage for a while. I probably used a too-energetic wash, because the filling became so unstable that I couldn’t plump them back from the outside. I have cut open the pillow slips and removed the stuffings, but there is no getting them back into a comfy pillow shape, so I wondered if they are if interest to anyone doing crafting or for insulation or something? They are perfectly white-looking regardless of the photos! The label for the pillow slips says the stuffing adheres to the Furniture and Furnishings (Fire Safety) Regulations 1988. I may as well keep the pillow slips unless they are are wanted, but you are welcome to check them. I’ll only put these up on Freegle one time as it seems unlikely anyone will be interested, and if there are no takers they can plump out my new black wheelie bin instead!

Free: Last chance for wool tartan dress (Springfield MK6) Expired My lovely long red tartan pinafore (wool with red viscose lining) has been discovered by moths. I am hoping somebody tall and skilled at darning or patching (spare fabric in the hem) will want to give it one more spin. Height from shoulder is 133cm and widest across is hips is 54cm (so double it, but bear in mind the lining will be less than this). It has been gently machine-washed despite saying dryclean only and looks good to me. However, if the moth holes are not mended - or at least stabilised (black / red nail varnish?) - the holes will quickly enlarge. However, the dress is fully lined in a viscose satin, so no fear of peepholes! I have more photos showing the holes in detail which I will add if anybody indicates they are interested.

Request: trivets (Springfield MK6) Expired I have discovered that a great way to keep woodlice from sheltering under my plant pots (and eating the decking) is to raise the pots slightly on metal trivets. They are actually designed to prevent kitchen worktops becoming scorched by hot dishes, but tend to get shoved in a corner cupboard after a while. If your trivets are cherished like the one in the photo, or are still needed for their intended purpose, or you can't bear the thought of them being plunked outside to gently rust under my geraniums, then this ad is not for you! If, however, you have an ugly one, or one that has seen better days, or one in a corner of your garage that was an unwanted gift but deserves some fresh air, please get in touch - I would be very grateful to rehome it. I have no idea if I will get any responses, but if so, I will wait in hopes there are sufficient to warrant a trip out, so please bear with me. Many thanks for reading!
