Free: Large cardboard carton (Museum of Nature) Gifted 3d - A large empty CLEAN carton from Amazon that I received today. It's 40" x 20" x 14" deep

Request: Grass Seed (Museum of Nature) 4d - I thought I would ask here before I buy some grass seed. There's a small lawn in the back of my house that needs some TLC ... not sure what critters were fusing about on in over the winter months?? If anyone has grass seed that they no longer need I would appreciate it. I'm a senior who lives near the Museum of Nature and no longer drive but I do use the bus. Free: Laundry Hamper minus a handle (Museum of Nature) Gifted 5d - I have to replace my laundry hamper as one of the handles broke on it and it's not comfortable to carry up and down the stairs with laundry in it, etc. Before I toss it in the recycling this week I thought to ask if anyone thought they could reuse it for something else? Free: Shelves for shoes, etc (Museum of Nature) Gifted 18d - There are two and they're wood .. I'm regifting .. the person I received them from indicated that they were shoe racks and can be used alone or stacked and that each rack is 31 x 12 x 12 inches Argyle & Cartier

Free: Toilet Paper Holder (Museum of Nature (downtown Ottawa)) Gifted 22d - Metal toilet paper holder ... although it works the way it should it's not appropriate for where I want to put it in my bathroom.

Request: DVD Player (Museum of Nature) Received 49d - By chance would anyone have a DVD player with HDMI that I can attach to a TV .. this is for someone on ODSP. Maybe the DVD player would also play CDs Free: Canadian Legion Magazines (Museum of Nature) Gifted 70d - 3 Legion magazines; Canada's Military history .. like new condition. Smoke & Pet Free Home.

Free: Kite flying spindle (Museum of Nature) Gifted 81d - I believe it's a Kite Flying Spindle or similar .. more than likely I bought it when I lived in China but I have no idea how to use it, etc.

Free: TV (Museum of Nature) Gifted 82d - Pending pick up in a few days: Insignia TV apparently it works but doesn't have a remote or required cables. It does however have a cable to plug it into a power supply. I never used it as it was given to a friend when he had no TV; fortunately a close friend gave my friend a functional TV, etc. This TV is 28" w x 15" h and I believe that this brand was sold by Best Buy.

Free: Skis (Museum of Nature) Gifted 91d - Promised ... 2 pair of skis that a neighbour asked me to offer in this group. I have no idea about the length of the skis but the owner is just shy of 6'. The skis with the poles apparently are the better of the 2 pair and one set has no poles. Please take both pair and regift what you don't keep. Argyle & Cartier

Free: Wreaths, etc (Museum of Nature) Gifted 169d - A box of various wreaths on a metal frame, pine cones, artificial flowers, etc. ... you might want to take them apart and just use the metal frame & bits & pieces, etc. Free: Samsung Duos cell phone (Museum of Nature) Gifted 174d - Offer: a Samsung DUOS cell phone that someone gave a friend as they thought it was the one that they had lost but it's not. I tried to recharge it but couldn't ... not sure if someone wants it to see if they can repair it; if not, I'll toss it into the recycle Request: Paint Supplies for art classes (Museum of Nature) Expired 199d - I'm looking for some art supplies for when we offer FREE lessons .. we use acrylic paints, etc. If you have any I'd be more than pleased to receive them. Unfortunately I no longer drive. We offer free lessons on Sunday mornings at the Elgin Street Farmers Market at Boushey Square, Elgin & Waverley. The market is open until October 29th. Free: Christmas Lights (Museum of Nature) Gifted 206d - Pending Pick Up: I have a few bags of Christmas lights ... I haven't tested them but believe that they still work or I wouldn't have saved them. The bags they're stored in are a little dusty as they've been stored in a basement. Free: Interesting bottle (Museum of Nature) Gifted 206d - Pending Pick Up: A friend painted this on an empty wine bottle and I used to put a battery operated twinkling set of lights inside it. I included 3 photos of the various faces she painted on the bottle.

Free: Ecco Sandals (Museum of Nature) Gifted 214d - Ladies Ecco sandals -size 39 ... although the heels are a little worn there's still lots of life in them still.

Free: Hammock (Museum of Nature) Gifted 215d - Pending Pick Up: I never used it as I have another one.

Free: Piss Off Plant (Museum of Nature) Gifted 215d - Its not a perennial that will survive our winter however last year I brought a piece in and left it in water on my kitchen bay window .. it grew, started new shoots and this year when I planted it I had enough to put it in two front gardens that border a busy sidewalk. There are lots of blue flowers on it now.

Free: A box of assorted handyman items (Museum of Nature) Gifted 215d - Pending Pick Up: Lots of nails, screws, etc. in the original carton ... sand paper, etc. lots of bits and pieces too. Free: Hanging Folders (Museum of Nature) Gifted 234d - I have some letter size hanging folders that are still in decent condition to use. Also some folders, etc.

Free: Bits & Pieces similar to Lego? (Museum of Nature) Gifted 241d - These are hanging on a post in front of 37 Argyle just down from Elgin .. they appear to be something that a child would play with sort of like lego, etc.? Earlier last week there were also some paintings with them but they've been picked up and gone to new homes, etc. When I notice that they're gone I'll edit this post.

Free: Perennials (Museum of Nature) Gifted 241d - I want to clean up my front garden and have some ground cover perennials; I have pink geraniums and blue/purple ? asters Request: Ladies Bike (2) (Museum of Nature) Received 243d - Today I spent some time with a few newcomers from Ukraine. One lady and her daughter arrived earlier this month and they'd like to each have a bike if possible. The bike would have to be reliable and not require any work as the Mother is still looking for work and $$ is scarce now. Currently they're living in Ottawa East but looking for more affordable accommodations. Thanks Request: Man's Bike (Museum of Nature) Received 250d - Requesting a functional man's bike for someone in my family on ODSP. Since he has little extra $$ he's not able to consider a bike that needs lots of work and extra parts. He lives near the Museum on Nature downtown and has no access to a car to pick it up. Thanks Free: Garden Hose (Museum of Nature - downtown) Gifted 266d - a 20 ' or so garden hose ... I didn't measure it accurately . It's only a hose. Request: iPad & iPhone (Museum of Nature) Received 267d - NOTICE: Recently when I was chatting with the lady again she confirmed to me that she will NOT consider learning how to use a computer and doesn't want to use a cell phone. So, thanks to all who have offered to help with donations, etc. Today I was chatting with an elderly lady that I often see in our neighbourhood; she always uses a walker. When we were talking today I asked her if she had a computer, she doesn't but years ago she had one, I asked her about her cell phone, hers is old, no data etc. My thought is that if I were able to find a decent iPad or iPhone for her I could teach her how to use it and this would allow her to easily stay in contact with others. I'm familiar with Apple products and a BIG benefit is that if she needed help she could call them and Apple offers free help on the phone or in their store. If anyone has a functional iPad, iPhone I would appreciate one and I'll gladly help her set it up, etc. .. she lives in a highrise across from my home. Thanks again .. Request: Kettle (Museum of Nature) Expired 275d - By chance would anyone have an extra kettle for someone in our area who is on ODSP? I'm a senior without a car so hopefully someone in the area or on a convenient bus route has one.
