Free: physics teaching kit (Castlefields SY1) Expired For science teachers / technicians in Shropshire area. After 20 years of teaching physics, and running teacher CPD on behalf of the Institute oif Physics and then Physics Partners, I was invalided out in 2020. I've hoarded a lot of 'useful physics-y bits and pieces' since then, but it's time for a clear out. So, I'm offering said bits and pieces, mostly in labelled containers, eg optics, magnetism etc, plus several SEP publications and handouts, and a few gizzits for your students. There's also quite a variety of CDs on physics toopics - does anyone still use CDs these days? In total, there's about one car-backseat load (a metric unit, roughly equal to 1/4 cartload). Given the state of school budgets these days, at least some of it ought to come in handy at KS 3, 4 and sixth form, either for demonstrations, a circus or for individual pupil projects. I'll happily deliver to any school in Shropshire or over the borders.

Free: Laptop dock with cooler (Castlefields SY1) Gifted Bought in the days when laptops ran hotter they do now, so useful if you are running an older machine, or working a new one very hard. Plugs into a USB-A or a 3V power lead, and has input slots for qty 3 USB-As and a variety of small memory cards. Have powered it up: the fans work. Complete with black cloth carrying case. Can deliver in/around Shrewsbury.

Free: Panels and pediment for corner wardrobe (Castlefields SY1) Gifted Components of an L-shaped timber wardrobe, originally made to fit into a corner. Dismantled about 20 years ago, and now just gathering dust. Rear and side panels, plus 3 doors; pediment. All softwood, stained and polished. Would need baseboard and topboard, plus shelves and hardware. Consists of: qty 4 rear panels, qty 2 side panels, qty 3 doors. Finished wardrobe would be about 1 m long on each arm of the L, and about 2 m tall. No instructions, but assembling your own new cabinet is a popular occupation right now. Collect from Castlefields, Shrewsbury. You'll need a small van or large car.

Free: Silk curtains (Castlefields SY1) Gifted Two pairs of lined curtains, silk or similar. Length 250 m, width 180 cm. Not new, and sunlight has spoiled both edges on all of them. Before I throw them away, does anyone want to rescue and re-use the centre strip from each curtain? They might make four long, narrow curtains? I'll keep them until Monday 17 Jun in the hope of getting a reply, and I'll deliver in the Shrewsbury area if anyone wants them
