Free: Sedge aka flowering rush (Bernards Heath AL3) I have a lot of this available now. If you would like some, please bring a container because it has come out of a pond, so the roots are wet and muddy. Good in bog gardens and as a pond marginal. Better than typha minima for emerging damselflies because it has long stems earlier in the year.

Free: Very small pebbles (Bernards Heath AL3) Gifted New unused silvery pebbles. Given to me by another freegler for a fish tank but not needed. Not sure whether the silvery effect is natural or added in some way so might be safer as a plant pot topping.

Free: Aspidistra indoor plant (Bernards Heath AL3) Gifted Can grow a lot bigger in this 10” pot. Has a large root. Tolerates a fairly shady position. Likes to go outside in shade in the summer time.

Free: Feverfew plant (Bernards Heath AL3) Expired A naturalised perennial plant which will flower soon. It will disappear in the winter and come up again next year. Self seeds very freely so good for wilding your garden if you want that.

Free: Nordic Strength (Bernards Heath AL3) Gifted A fermented whey food supplement from Aeons. One unopened pack and a part-used one if wanted. It is supposed to help the body make more effective use of protein which strengthens your bones. But I don’t like the flavour.

Free: Persicaria (Bernards Heath AL3) Gifted Also called Firetail. Tall architectural plant. Good for shade but must be watered regularly for good results. Bees love the late summer pink flowers.

Free: Skimmia rubesta Cuba (Bernards Heath AL3) Expired Five roots of this shrub which have been lifted today. All have very little root. Needs urgent TLC if anyone is interested. Likes partial shade and can grow in a large container.

Free: Small glass sample (Bernards Heath AL3) Expired Smooth edges. Obscure finish on one side. Small chip I caused when taking the photo. Size is 4.5 inches x 7.5 Inches. Or 188 x 112 mm. Is this any use to anyone?

Free: Terracotta pot with side holes (Bernards Heath AL3) Expired Height 10 cms or 4 inches. Two chips at rim. The holes aerate the plant so discouraging bacteria and there is a water saving space at the base to keep plants watered. Used for eg mint or strawberry plants.

Free: Steel radiator (Bernards Heath AL3) Expired Large hot radiator. Size is 180 cm long (71 inches). Height is 60 cm (24 inches) . Thickness is 10 cm (4 inches). Works perfectly but we are changing it for a smaller one. Will be available tomorrow or Friday.
