Free: Bell & Howard model 640 projector plus speaker (Kemptown BN2) This is a 16mm projector used by my father in the 60s / 70s. It comes with an amplifier and a power unit. It hadn’t been in active use for some time so I can’t vouch for it being fully functional. However, it’s been looked over by an electrician and powered up. The projector lamp came on and the mechanism rotated. The power unit for the amplifier was also working. We didn’t attempt to run a film through it. Quite heavy so needs to be collected in a vehicle.

Free: Sunbeam Junior Mixmaster - from 1960s (Kemptown BN2) Vintage food processor from the 60s (or maybe late 50s). It has a little rust but it’s a delightful quirky item with a full set of attachments. NB - the mixer attachments do have a little rust which would need treating before food use

Free: Single bed (Kemptown BN2) Gifted It’s a single bed with a cast iron headboard and footboard, in a cream colour. The headboard has some rust, see photo. The bed dismantles for transport into a base board, a mattress, the head board, the footboard and two struts. It all fits together with sturdy nuts and bolts. Being cast iron the individual pieces are quite heavy but can be carried short distances. I live in Kemptown. I’m happy to include the mattress or for it to be left if you already have one. It hasn’t been slept on very often.

Free: HH Studio 50 guitar amp - needs some fixing (Kemptown BN2) Gifted This guitar amp dates back to the late 70s/early 80s. It switches on fine but it cuts on and off when in use. It may well be any easy fix for someone who has the skills. It’s a bit too heavy for me to get to a repair shop these days (or to a gig), which is why I’m Freegling it. It comes complete with power cable and protective soft cover for when in transit. It’s a well regarded model of amp and I hope someone can get some joy from it. Beer bottle in photo to give scale!

Free: Vintage Technics HiFi equipment (Kemptown BN2) Gifted There is a large queue for this item already, so even if the current promise doesn’t work out, there will be another person already lined up. Vintage Technics HiFi kit from the 1980s, along with all cables and full set of manuals. The components are: SB-F5 - Linear Phase Speaker System SU-3 Stereo Amplifier ST-3L FM/MW/LW Stereo Tuner (radio) SL-3 DC Servo Automatic Turntable SH-E5 Stereo Graphic Equalizer SL-PJ20 CD player I brought this back from a house that I was clearing for a relative, so it isn't my kit and I'm not really sure how it all connects together. I have connected up the speakers and the radio tuner to the amplifier and played some music from the radio. The speakers have a lovely mellow sound. I'm not sure whether or not the other components work, as it needs someone who is interested in vintage pre-digital HiFi to spend a little while figuring out how it all needs to be connected. But it could be a fun project.
