Free: Air-Sac Bottle Protectors (Bickington EX31) Perfect for safely transporting or storing glass bottles* (ideally standard 70cl size ones - any smaller and the bottle won't be as well protected, any larger and you'll struggle to fit it in). They can be recycled in any supermarket that has a facility for customers to deposit plastics (as stated on the Air-Sacs themselves). * They should be be; that's what they were specifically designed for! Total of 15 compartments in the following configurations: 3 x 3 compartments (joined) and 3 x 2 compartments (joined). If care is taken, these joined compartments can be cut and separated - the flat strip of plastic connecting them is sufficiently wide). Please note, two or three of the compartments have been slit at the side (I had to cut into them to remove bottles that were larger than standard). However, even these will afford some protection, as the compartments are comprised of vertical 'ribs' of air-filled plastic, and most of the ribs are still full on these slit compartments (I made my slices vertically, not horizontally). These things, although bulky by necessity, are so handy, hence my decision to offer them here. They are taking up quite a bit of space, though, so if nobody has collected them by the end of Sunday 25th January 2026, I will recycle them. N.B. The bottle of rum in the photos is not included in this offer - sorry!

Free: Black beanbag (Fort Hill EX32) Expired Black beanbag, bought from Argos a few years ago, but barely used. Clean, with no rips or tears. Quite large, suitable for an adult to sit in/on. It looks a bit 'crumpled' in the photos, but it's perfectly usable - none of the beads have come out. Collection preferred this Wednesday afternoon (5th March 2025) or Thursday morning (6th).

Free: Vintage local and national newspapers (Barnstaple EX31) Gifted A selection of local and national newspapers and cuttings, mostly from the 1910s to the 1960s. Some are damaged and/or incomplete, but most are intact and readable, with a wealth of interesting historical information. National newspapers include The Times and The Express. Local newspapers include The Bideford Gazette, Ilfracombe Chronicle, Evening Post (Bristol) and The North Devon Journal & Herald (one copy of the latter is dated 1893!). Events covered include the assassination of President Kennedy, the Lynmouth Flood Disaster, and VE Day! The photos shown here are a small selection. I asked the Records office at the Barnstaple Libarary if they would like this material, but they were not interested. It would be such a shame to just recycle these papers, so I'm hoping a Freegler reading this would like to give them a good home. I cannot keep the papers indefinitely, so if nobody has expressed interest within a fortnight of this offer going live, I will regreattably have to put them in the recycling bag.
