Toys Part 10: The last Two (Twickenham TW1)
Talking ATM machine: I had made a video to show how it works, but unfortunately, I cannot upload it here. This machine uses US currency symbols, and unfortunately the play money is gone, so I replicated it using cardboard. The sound still works. Too good to put in a landfill. And finally, this very useful squeezy banana provides comfort to children who are dealing with anxiety, and also helps build motor skills. It has been scrubbed with a disinfectant and then washed with a mild soap.

Toys Part 9: Motoring (Twickenham TW1)
Travel toy: car and ramp in a canister. Lightyear car carrying case. Hex bug: WARNING, small pieces = choking hazard Very used airport and parking lot play mat with one plane, two cars and two street signs. Very used combat plane, but too good to go in a landfill: missing the cockpit cover but you open the side door and you also lift the front of the plane and pull out a runway for small cars or small planes. Magnex mega blocks build your own vehicle using magnets: WARNING - Absolutely not for any child younger than eight; these magnets are powerful and can be extremely harmful if swallowed. The Kit is missing a few pieces but there are still many pieces left to make an interesting vehicle.

Small elephant figurine.

Toys Part 6: Classic Toys (Twickenham TW1)
Old School? You’ll appreciate these toys: Rubik’s cube Felt board with Madeleine story book characters; missing the dog but still a lot of fun An acrobatic hare: I had taken a video to show how it works, but unfortunately I can’t upload it; you squeeze the two sticks and the hare does somersaults Play Doh carrying case and accessories; missing some lids but case storage is still very useful Dominos: sadly, two are missing. I still think it’s too good to go into a landfill. Two more toys, I don’t know what they are called, again I had taken a video to show how they work but can’t upload it; it is a sphere between two curved pieces of metal and when you squeeze the metal together the sphere travels along the length of the metal to the end and then comes back. One sphere is in the shape of a salamander and the other sphere lights up in different colours when it moves.

Toys 1 (Twickenham TW1)
Promised
I have a lot of toys to give away. This lot are plush toys, a mechanical Elmo, and a family of very small monkeys. The plush toys have had a run through the washer and dryer, or as my daughter put it, “a spa day” 😂 Elmo and the monkeys were hand-washed. Elmo used to talk and dance when you pressed his hand, but despite new batteries, I couldn’t convince him to do either. In fairness, he may be 20 years old. The monkeys are NOT SUITABLE for little children - they are too small so they pose a choking hazard. They are for older children, 5+, who collect tiny figurines. Many more toys to be posted…

Foam floor “Tiles” (Twickenham TW1)

These foam floor tiles are suitable only for garden sheds or garages. DO NOT USE THEM FOR BABY/CHILDREN/PET play areas because they have been in my garage for a few years. The foam is in good shape and I am going to give them a wash. There are 15 tiles, some of them have a flat side. Could still be very useful!

A Project for a tech pro: broken DVD player (Twickenham TW1)
Gifted
It is such a shame that this beautiful, practically new, portable DVD player doesn’t work. It was barely used. It turns on, but it just doesn’t recognise that there is a DVD ready to be played. If you are a tech enthusiast or even a professional, I’m sure you can fix this. I thought I should at least offer it before sending it to recycling. It has all of the components: battery pack, remote control, adapters, charger, and carrying case as well as instructions. I hope someone can breathe new life into this lovely piece of equipment.

Micro Scooter (Twickenham TW1)
Gifted
Re-posting: If you request this item, please remember to check your spam folders for a response from me :) Very good condition Micro scooter, the kind that steers by leaning left or leaning right. The handle bar can be adjusted to a longer height. Includes à decorative bar cover in a dinosaur motif. I think suitability depends more on the child’s height and weight rather than age, but it is definitely for a young child, not a child with a double digit age.

Toys (Twickenham TW1)
Expired
Four fun toys, too good for a landfill but not good enough for a charity to sell. Take what you like, or take them all! (1) Mattel Hot Wheels Sea Serpent Island bath tub toy. Missing one small piece - a blue scoop - but toy functions very well without it. Here is a video that shows how it works: (2) Bingo board game; lovely for little ones, I had to reconstruct the game boards and one missing piece so it is a fully functional game (3) Make your own race car kit using plaster. Never opened! Never used! For ages 6+ and parental supervision to avoid plaster being inhaled/consumed. (4) Peppa Pig Ferris Wheel. It spins! Take small toys for a ride! Thank you for recycling!

Foldable baby pushchair (Twickenham TW1)
Gifted
This pushchair is too good to put in a landfill, but sadly THE BRAKES DO NOT WORK. It folds for storage, the seat can be reclined, the leg/foot section can be raised or lowered, the front wheels can be locked to move in one direction or unlocked to swivel, and there is a storage basket underneath. The body strap/lock is in good condition. I have hand-washed the buggy with soap and disinfectant. The only problem is the brakes. The mechanism for the brakes is intact, it just doesn't stop the wheels from moving. This buggy did not belong to me, it belonged to a friend who asked me to Freegle it for her. I hope someone can use it!
