Free: Water Cooler containers - tops cut off. 'Greenhouse' use? (Hollingbury BN1) Withdrawn These are water containers from a water cooler. They have an 18Litre capacity and are strongly made from Mylar. I cut the top part of these off and have used them as liquid containers when making things like elderflower cordial. Now surplus to requirements. Could be used for the same sort of thing, or perhaps as a tiny greenhouse or similar? Collection from Hollingbury BN1 area by arrangement.

Free: Bath Seal strip 5m x 22mm (Hollingbury BN1) Gifted White silicone-type tape, with an adhesive backing, designed to seal between a bath and tiled wall. The tape has a crease down the middle, so half sticks to the bath and half to the wall. Bought for a D-I-Y project but I ended up adopting a different solution instead.

Request: Cheap Dynamic Microphone - on loan would work (Hollingbury BN1) Expired Hi - I'm after a 'Dynamic' Microphone, for testing some audio gear. Annoyingly I gave away the one I had some time ago... 'Dynamic' means it will probably look something like the photo, with a larger (1/4" / 6.3mm) Jack plug on the end. Mics that plug into PCs and so on are probably not suitable, thanks. I would be happy to just borrow one for a week or so if that works for anyone...

Request: 'Kettle' lead - for a hot item, not a computer 'IEC' lead... (Hollingbury BN1) Expired Hi all I am after a main lead with a connector which is usually called a 'kettle' lead - ie. for plugging into a kettle. A very similar connector is often used for computer equipment; but these are strictly speaking 'IEC' leads and are slightly different (the true 'kettle' leads have a notch on one side, as in the photo). If anyone has one of these from an old kettle, hotplate or other item I'd be grateful. I live in Hollingbury, can collect locally. Thanks, Jon N

Free: Vittoria trainer tyre for 700c Wheel, bike training (Hollingbury BN1) Expired A bit niche ... Vittoria training tyre for use with a resistance-based bike trainer. You should not use ordinary tyres on one of these trainers. Size is 23-622, to fit 700c wheels (road bike). You will need some tyre levers to get it onto your wheel, they are a tight fit. Tyre is somewhat old and used, but still has a bit of life in it. I have swapped bikes around and have another tyre on a different wheel now. Collection from Hollingbury area by prior arrangement.

Request: Rear Wheel for Road bike, 700c (Hollingbury BN1) Expired Hi - I am renovating an old road bike for use as a cycle trainer. The only thing now missing is a rear wheel. I used to have one spare but 'foolishly' gave it away on Freegle a couple of years ago! Now wondering if anyone has one... It needs to be 700c size, preferably with something like a 7 or maybe 8 speed cassette. Exact spec not too important, the rest of the parts are Shimano/Mavic but they don't have to match! Inner tube and tyre condition not important. I am based in Hollingbury and could collect locally at your convenience. Thanks very much.

Free: small animal cage - pet guinea pig or similar (Hollingbury BN1) Expired Old Ferplast small rodent cage that is surplus to requirements. Has been used for guinea pigs; the grille size is too large for hamsters or gerbils etc. Size approx: 60cm L, 40W. Base height 13cm, total height 37cm. A little worn and dusty, but condition fine for purpose after a bit of a clean. Collection from Hollingbury area by prior agreement.

Request: Audio Cassettes - just one or two (Hollingbury BN1) Received Hi - I am trying to repair some audio equipment for re-gifting, but need some audio cassettes to test it out on. If anyone has one or two old tapes that would be great. Length of tape relatively unimportant - 60m or 90m preferred. Ideally these would be 'dedicated' cassettes, eg TDK or similar, not a pre-recorded tape, but at a pinch some of those would also do. I am based in Hollingbury, could collect locally by arrangement. Free: Loud door bell / fire bell, 24V DC (Hollingbury BN1) Gifted This is a loud 24-volt alarm bell. It was originally painted Red for use as a fire alarm bell. I was going to use it for a door alarm and sprayed it grey. However that small project has been solved in a different way and the bell is now surplus to requirements. Request: 80 Way IDE Cable from old PC etc. (Hollingbury BN1) Received Hi - a bit specialist, but I am after an IDE cable as used to connect Hard Disk Drives in old PCs. Must be 80-way cable (the connectors are 40-way but the ribbon cable in between has finer wires). Photos shows a 'round cable' and 'ribbon cable' form - either would do I think. Originally contained 'Reverse Osmosis' Water - very high quality water for Aquariums etc. Suitable for camping, continued aquarium use, or general liquid storage. Two available. Free: RGB LED strips + some fittings (Hollingbury BN1) Gifted Some lengths of RGB LED strip, originally fitted in a child's bedroom. Probably 4 to 5 meters in total length, in three or four strips. I haven't untangled them to check, They are/were self-adhesive, although some of the 'stick' will have gone. There are some power fittings but you will need a suitable power supply and a bit of technical knowledge to get these up and running. Can be run with an IR sensor and a remote, but we don't seem to have those any more. Still, possibly useful for hobbyist work as well as decoration, if you have the skills and interest.
