Microwave (Neath Hill MK14) Does anyone have any of microwave of any kind going spare at all? Anything will do, new or old. It just needs to work properly! Asking in order to help a recently housed homeless friend. Furthermore, if anyone has any spare cutlery and/or dinner plates and bowls in good, usable condition then they would be of massive help to someone with a chance of getting back on their feet. Kettle (Neath Hill MK14) Hi Freeglers. I have been helping someone that has recently been given a studio flat after several years of street homelessness. He is starting with nearly nothing but we've managed to source lots of the essentials to give him the best start possible. However, the property currently has no working hot water. The gas is capped off due to long term unpaid bills and the electric immersion heater isn't switching on at all - I guess the element has probably corroded or something. This has all been reported and will hopefully be sorted in the coming weeks but in the meantime I'm hoping to source two kettles so he can heat some water for washing dishes and himself. Obviously this won't be ideal but it's the only solution I can think of in the short term. Does anyone have a working kettle they can spare? Doesn't need to be anything special but the larger the capacity the better I'd think. We are Neath Hill (MK14) based but I can arrange collection from anywhere in the Milton Keynes area. Flatscreen TV (Two Mile Ash MK8) Expired Hi! Does anyone have a spare flatscreen television of any size and standard that you would be willing to donate to a good new home? I have been helping a few homeless people in MK over the past 4-5 years in whatever small ways I’ve been able to. Mainly providing decent hard-wearing clothes, boots, etc during winter, but also with some basic household items for a couple of folks that have been lucky enough to be housed but have struggled to fit out their new home with the essentials we all enjoy. Currently I am helping a very kind gentleman that suffered on and off with street homelessness over the last decade but was housed around 5-6 weeks ago. He managed to get access to a local grant to get a fridge/freezer, a mattress for the bed, and a (very) basic sofa for his place. But he is missing a television and it feels quite depressing there without anything to watch or listen to. If anyone can offer a TV of any kind it would be really welcome. I can collect from anywhere in Milton Keynes and will meet whatever day/time suits you. Thanks in advance for your time and consideration!
